Why is this so skewed? What will it ever take for blizz devs to first acknowledge that hunters even exist, and then second, to give them a shred of survivability? Especially the one they monikered “Survival”. lol.
Maybe this is what it really means?
Blizz: Hey Hunters, try to survive! haha. The game for you is now literally about “Survival” not success. G’luck! they go back to counting their moneys
Hunter survivability as a whole is kind of a meme lol.
Everyone has so many gap-closers and cc-breaks, and we didn’t get much to compensate for that.
And we’re not a self-healing class, really.

You shouldn’t worry about the hunter survival spec until they make it a ranged spec again but sadly that most likely wont happen blizzard has to make those 12 people happy and yeah hunter survivability is trash as a whole.

I don’t have the experience with enhance to comment on that but from what I’ve heard it’s a spec that needs a lot of love in AoE situations.
From what I’ve seen in live action they can rock it in ST though.
It either stands still to hardcast a heal.
Or uses its resource (maelstrom) to cast it instant, but now it doesnt get to use that spender on damage.
Asking for more survivability for specific specs is fine. TBH i almost think we have too much. Just maybe we (in general) should be careful who we compare ourselves to.

He’s saying the opposite. That those specs have freely usable heals with little or no cooldowns attached. Just resources.

Thats the kicker, and why I asked how much damage someone is willing to sacrifice.
If the healing uses resources, that means they are doing less damage.

Accurate class fantasy.
Knowing which plants are edible versus which ones will poison me won’t help me much against the giant dragon we’re fighting.
Totally get that. My ret for example is nearly unkillable but does sac some damage to pump out offheals/selfheals.
That said, he still does great damage, and I don’t feel like he has “overall” sacrificed much dps for survivability.
Damage is increasing because defensives are spiraling out of control (for select classes). Leaving the ones lacking behind.
IMO tone them all done across the board.

Why are you comparing survival hunter with prot warrior, blood DK and the likes ?
I understand what you are asking, but once again. That doesnt answer my question.
Are you cool with losing a chunk of damage? Losing all your focus for a single self heal, or something similar. But only if you are at 100% focus.
