Not only is it clearly a male voice, but the acting is also awful. “Welcome to the Dragon Isles!” It sounds like something right out of a Care Bears cartoon.
I don’t particularly care very much about the male sounding aspect, but man, you’d think they could hire better actors. These lines are cringe.
They’re a large drakonid. I don’t think she cares for our gender norms regarding speech.

Oh is this a common topic? I didn’t even know. I was watching MrGM stream and he was making fun of it. Today was the first time I heard it.
Its been done to death a few times.
The voice actor is simply acting how the director wants them to. And I just think its silly that people expect large lizards to have fem / masc voices for their gender.
It’s not and she sounds great.
It sounds nothing like a care bear. 
The voice actor doesn’t write the lines. 
At best there are times where a voice actor would adlib and folks like it so much they add it in. But that’s it

Anyone expecting Benedict cumberbatch as Smaug levels of voice acting is probably gonna be disappointed.

Yeah. I just get annoyed when people blame a voice actor reading lines they didn’t write.
I get that, but at least spoiler tag it. I haven’t paid attention to story on purpose because I didn’t want it spoiled.

Do people just not get the fact that dragons aren’t humans and sound different? The inflections in Sendrax’s voice are really good and it’s very crisp. One of the best, imo.
Unlike Nozdormu that they ruined and deleted Martin Sheen. (No… I will never forgive that.)

I actually really like the character of Sendrax and how their story plays out.
Don’t want to spoil anything so being vague. But I didn’t personally get cheesy / cringe. Perhaps it’s just ones pessimistic outlook.
They’re just a young soldier trying to be all “Okay my first go at a big responsibility. Lets make it count”
