As the title asks why in the hell does RestedXP REQUIRE your battle.net ID in order to make an account? And why when you make an account does it somehow automatically link to your facebook? I haven’t used facebook in over like 10 years, but I most certainly know that the photo RestedXP used for my profile picture was only ever used on Facebook.
And before you start, stop. I don’t give a crap about your commentary about using guides/not using guides, that’s neither been asked for or what this thread is about so keep that opinion to yourself.
I can’t speak on the Facebook part but as for your battle.net link it’s to link your paid guide to your account.
Because they don’t want you sharing it.

You can get cracked versions of it for free very easily online. Paying for addons is cringe and also against the ToS

Never said I paid for it nor that I even used it just that I made an account on their site.
Also to those of you saying only bad people use guides, not true. I’m stoned off my gourd for like 90% of the time I play this game with the other 10% being when I accidentally fell asleep or tabbed out to eat. Having a sense of direction in a game that gives you almost none is nice to have.

As far as linking to your Facebook that has to be new or something you did mistakenly. Or your Bnet is linked to your FB. When I used it in 2019 I never had it linked to anything aside from my Bnet
Uncracked version only gives you use of the addon up to level 40. Imagine if you downloaded auctionator and it only worked for your first 100 auctions unless you paid.

this is a third party app. go ask them on their discord why it works the way it does. or better yet, uninstall this unnecessary gunk from your addons folder.
