Why does nobody complain about NL Spriest?

I don’t know about you guys, but as a healer main, I find NL Spriest to be disgustingly annoying. Quite possibly the one singular spec I hate the most.

3 different instantaneous CC’s on short CDs (ranged stun, ranged silence, aoe fear, + an incap if they are panda). Not to mention void volley RNG bullcrap.

Literal pet class somehow, rattling mage doing way too much dmg on his own

Psyfiend getting buffed and taking multiple globals to kill for some reason

Spec never having to hardcast anymore with Damnation talent being a thing. Imagine if afflic lock had an ability that put agony + corrupt + ua all instantly. Then spends its free globals spam dispeling you no punishment. Meanwhile enh goes oom from purging right away.

VT damage is now insanely overloaded. Regular avg ticks for 5-7k. Crit ticks as high as 11-12k FOR A DOT.

Insane amounts of utility, basically arms warrior tier but more annoying. Swap, grip, near-insta mass, etc.

Majority of my games are into spriests at this point. They need to move more of this classes damage into mind blast/mind flay.

I like fighting shadow priests, it brings back the Dance Dance Revolution days.

Meh, I’ve just never been a complainer myself. Whenever I lose to someone in arena, instead of complaining I just try to learn from my mistakes.

You can beat any class as any class.

Probably because it doesn’t outright kill the faces of most players in the same way that specs like Retribution, Marksmanship, Arms, Windwalker, Fire and Demo do. Relatively immobile, susceptible to being trained, newbie melee eat newbie casters, etc. It’s just a more subtle spec.

I just hate that psyfiend somehow has 7k hp? I liked it when you had to shield it.

As a healer main, I don’t have enough hours in a day to complain about all the stuff I hate, but NL Spriest isn’t even on my radar compared to some things–as much as I despise Spriest keeping me from casting for like 1/3 of a match.

Definitely not. Remove GFade, fast MD is dumb, Psyfiend needs to go back to what it was. Spam dispel is also terrible, wish it wasn’t a thing.

Moving damage into a channel from a dot spec is a stupid idea, especially with all the micro CCs and interrupts this game has. Damnation is a 45 second CD, Shadow still has to cast, the bigger issue is Unfurling Darkness.

VT ticks for like 800-1k this was almost a good troll thread but this gave it away

where you get those numbers?

Yea I think greater fade needs to go too. Make it a freedom instead

You are fried my guy, sadly I don’t have screenshots but I assure you spriest VT can tick for 4-7k normal, 10-12k crits. Not even trolling.

Perhaps the Painbreaker Psalm legendary shows up as VT/SWP damage?

The one that causes death to consume X seconds of the dots to do their damage instantly.

It’s the instant damage from Unfurling Darkness talent, not damage from VT tics.

Ding dong! You cracked it.

Dot ticks for VT are 1k (1.5k crit) with SW:P being around half that.

Unfurling darkness crits usually around 10k

Wait, are people talking about Vampiric Touch or Void Torrent when they talk about VT? When he mentioned it hitting hard I instantly assume Void Torrent. Or is this about Unfurling Darkness talent?

they are talking about vampires touching them. The second instant VT hurts man

That’s nuts then. I’ve never seen the dot hit for that much, which is why I automatically assumed this VT was Void Torrent instead, which I can totally see hitting for that much.

Spriest have a talent that when they cast Vampiric Touch, their next vampiric touch is instant and it does the damage upfront (the dot duration) and then still applies the dot. That’s when you see the big VT crits it’s not the dot it’s the talent.

As an elemental shaman I absolutely loathe rsham spriest combo because I know the lfg Druid is about to be infinitely behind in gcds.

Spriest legit can pop every single cd in opener because they are all way too low and have it back before next spear from their warrior.

Yeah, that’s the Unfurling Darkness I mentioned earlier.
