Why does no one play monks?

I don’t understand why they’re so underplayed. Shamans are more popular, and they’re shamans.

Admittedly ww seems to be nonexistent these days, that said seems like BrM is still somewhat plentiful.

I don’t play monk simply because they have their weapons equipped on their back and they fight with their hands.

They were created in the expansion that put a dagger through the heart of what WoW was if you ask me.

Literally Kung Fu Pandas made this into a kids game. Outside of that they do not seem very interesting as I prefer plate wearers.

Why would I play a Monk btw when you could play an overpowered Demon Hunter with 10 times more utility?

Now, this is my view. No one knows how to properly play one. A monk is like old style of mortal combat. You have to do the right combo for killer moves. Few do it.

Right that is why there’s so many more Veng DH tanks then BrM right? I hardly say we have 10 times the utility bit of an exaggeration. Monks have cc, a special debuff, interrupt, a taunt that increases the ms of the target (unique) among other things.

Currently twinking a Monk, considering to make it my new main, but what kinda annoys me is the animations… while ‘attacking with fists’ does tie with the class fantasy, I’d still rather wack stuff with a staff or something atleast :confused:

Enjoying brewie so far however! Windwalker AOE seems rather… awkward tbh

I see monks all over the place. One of my favorite characters is my pandaren monk. Most of the time he’s brewmaster because I love that spec to death, but I’m not a good tank so I switch to windwalker often.

I’m sure they were talking about DPS specs. For high level raiding, BRM is top. Whereas for M+, dps DH is pretty OP and very easy so it has a very high representation.

Who, though? Been playing since 04’ here and browsing the forums and never heard of anyone wanting a Panda race.

Yeah I realize this, but people seem to think that were the only dps class dominating M+, when others are just as plenty (see rogues).

They aren’t wrong though, MoP did introduce the sacrificial dagger item (if only it still worked) :smile:
