Why does my Naga spin out of control?

My Razer settings and windows mouse settings have Mouse acceleration off, yet my mouse still spins out of control frequently.
Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this problem?

YES

I find this happens when you do anything to your PC between gaming sessions other than shutting down fully.

Restarting pc is the only fix. And shut down when you’re done playingm don’t just go into hibernate.

(I know this isn’t a true fix to the actual problem But it gets the job done).

On another note my naga binds sometimes randomly swap to a new profile so my buttons don’t do the right thing. Or one of my buttons will lock (not physically) and it’ll spam That button until I press it again.

I always shut down my PC after i’m done playing. So I think my problem goes deeper than that but i’ve played retail and did the same thing. but when i played on private server it had no problem.

Interesting.do you do anything between powering up your pc and playing? IF it ever goes to screensaver sometimes this can be enough to cause the spin, at least for me. I have to go straight from boot up to wow.

There is a workaround to this! Set your polling rate to 125. Hasn’t happened to me since.

I’ve gotten this before and tried a lot of different things to fix it, but I’m not sure what exactly the solution is
Some things to try:

  1. Delete your config wtf file in the wow/classic dir
  2. Run this console command: /console rawMouseEnable 1 and 0

If those don’t work then doing /reload should fix it temporarily
Blizzard has a help topic here:

It only happens to me in Classic. Does not happen in retail.

You’ve clicked something on the keyboard either while holding the mouse button down or while clicking the mouse button at the same time. OR, you clicked two keys simultaneously on the keyboard at once/clicked another key while turning.

USUALLY it’s shift, alt or ctrl & you can undo it by randomly clicking one of those while turning or moving. It’s a pain in the derriere, that’s for certain.

Don’t like Razer products. Always felt unreliable and overpriced, uncomfortable. Went back to Logitech and have been problem free for years.

HAHAHA OMG!!!

You’re dead, Jim. * falls off chair laughing *

Awesome. :grinning:

Everything is junk now. My last two logitechs have died very early deaths through normal use.

Thank you for all the feedback guys! I’ve got a list of things to try when i log in tomorrow. Hope this helped some others too.

Yes! I found this to be a very common issue with Razer Naga mice. I returned to WoW back in January of this year, and in doing so picked up the newest Razer Naga Trinity in preperation for Classic. Playing in retail, this spin out happened CONSTANTLY. I wish I could find the fix for it, but I do remember it working to the point where I never worried about it. (you’ll obviously be able to find a lot more resources on that topic since its been around for a while longer.)

I’m going to give the polling rate thing a shot. Otherwise I’ll have to start digging up old threads on how to solve this issue.

One question I have, though. Why didn’t whatever I did to fix it in retail work in Classic. Doesn’t make much sense to me.

Disable the setting for “Max Foreground/Background FPS”. This has worked well for many people including myself. I also use a Razer Naga Mouse at 1800 DPI.
