Why does mana have to be such a big issue still?

So with all these changes why does mana still have to be such a big issue. Depleting your mana pool and having to drink after every single pull does not feel good at all. Disliking SOD more and more each day here. Im playing a mage atm and for me it just feels horrible. Didnt even log in yesterday.

lol circle of healing costs 56% of my base mana . Ridiculous. No wonder no one is using it

I don’t want to be mean but that is classic. Spells are powerful and mana is a resource that actually matters in this game.

Mages are maestro’s of control and (aoe)damage once you learn how to manage mana.

This. You can also update your talents or gear to help with nana management, or play a class that doesn’t use it

Much of Classic’s appeal is resource management. Many of us don’t like just spamming buttons and deleting mobs with no effort. Please don’t turn Classic into Retail.

Downrank some of your spells for starters. Biggest number isn’t always best number.

I didn’t even get any mana runes, Spriest is forever destined to oom in 30 seconds (can’t even downrank our filler this phase since there’s only 1 rank of it)

I wasn’t addressing your specific comment. And the point still stands. If you’re only using arcane blast, that’s a skill issue, not a mana issue.

In general, I feel like a lot of these : why isn’t this way threads, has to do with people not realizing how much patience people had back then in classic.

Wait till Raids, where you basically sit around before boss pulls a few minutes while you gather buffs, sing camp songs and wait for the best time possible to pull.

Pally mana management has gotten much more complicated in SoD. Now we are expected to press crusader strike too.

Yea but is it really “classic” its really not technically its supposed to be an improved more fun experience… mana issues are antifun… just saying its something they could have improved upon to make the “classic” experience more enjoyable than it is for most caster. Food/Drink/pull over and over gets real old real fast.

It is classic. The majority of the game is classic. With runes attached to it. People are so used to retail where they hit every ability on cd and play whack a mole. Classic isn’t and shouldn’t be that way. Mobs have meaning and so do minute increments of stats and resources.

Retail mentality should not invade SoD
