Why does Lifebloom suck so hard?

Just recently hit 25 on my Druid. Was planning on going Resto into phase 2. I’m curious why Lifebloom is so God awful. The mana cost for a 3 stack is insane. Does very little healing per mana compared to other healer Runes (looking at you, PoM / Penance), and it heals for 24 a second. On targets with 1500+ HP this is just super, super bad.

Have we just resigned ourselves to the fact that Druid healers will be inferior or…?

It is really bad. Way too mana inefficient for how weak the HoT portion of the spell is

It really is crazy. Even if the spell cost 5 mana (like Starsurge lol), the HoT portion would barely be worth the GCD. Needs a massive buff.

go feral. this is the way.

Correct. They need to rework this ability in SoD

Bring back TBC Lifebloom

It sucks regardless of what expansion you compare it to because it’s missing all the mechanics it gets paired with whether it’s TBC or WotLK or Dragonflight.

We have no clearcasting procs to go with it and no mana cost lowering talents or tree form or the several mechanics added to lifebloom in more recent versions of WoW.

They’ve gotten feedback about it since day 1, sad to see no phase 2 changes.

So what I am hearing is Blizzard should bring in Tree form ASAP

Lifebloom is a rune. Lifebloom is traditionally an incredibly strong ability for Druid.

It is useless in SoD.

Tree form time

Oh boohoo, you got one bad rune. Way to focus on that and not how good the rest of your runes and class overall is doing. I’m over here arguing with a guy because he says there’s no reason to bring a Resto Shaman over a Resto Druid, and here’s THIS GUY trying to say Resto Druids should resign at their role.

Lacerate, lifebloom and living seed have been useless for all of P1.

Living Seed will be bad until late tier, post 60

Resto shaman is S tier raid healing at baseline in Era.

Enrage buff just went live, try it now.

The design doesn’t make sense in vanilla when instant cast heals reign supreme, you will be getting sniped nonstop on the only good part of SoD lifebloom. It costs a spit ton of mana for a heal that’s not good as well. If you roll hots on a tank that is getting shathwacked you are probably gonna snipe your own bloom with a HT

I’m good with removing living seed and lifebloom for useful things, for sure.

All runes should be useful and a viable option for some setup. What’s the point of adding them otherwise? This is also why I think ES (and mana options outside of SR) need to be changed for resto shaman.

Lifebloom and living seed shouldn’t just be left for dead because all the druids are just playing wrath spam WG bot. They are all playing that because it’s the only viable option and the other rune combinations suck.

Living seed should add crit chance to HoTs.

Lifebloom should have a chance to proc clearcasting.

Dreamstate should proc on healing crits as well so it isn’t pushing resto exclusively into wrath spam playstyle.

I don’t understand why they gave priests basically free spells but then made druids heals super mana intensive. Druids are fine as off heals but a party without a priest really feels it. Druids just go oom way too fast. I’ve played both and while druid heals can be powerful, you really have to watch your mana and you go oom constantly. I never go oom on my priest unless something really goes wrong.

Druid overall is not looking good phase 2. Feral got nerfed and will just be a windfury totem.

Lifebloom if not working properly for starters, that and the mana cost needs reduced
