Why does lava beam do only Fire damage, but Flame Shock does Volcanic damage?

This is a little sarcastic, and definitely not a priority.

However, Lava Beam sounds like it should do Volcanic damage (Fire + Nature) instead of just fire damage. The only reason that Flame Shock does Volcanic damage is so that it can work with Surge of Power and count as a Nature spell to spread 1 additional Flame Shock.

While we’re at it, we need a new ascendance model, and let us finish casting Lava Beam for 1-2 seconds after ascendance expires if we’re already casting it during Ascendance expiration.

Yeah I know its weird. At least I can proc elemental buff by casting flame shock and frost shock insteadof laba burst, or beam.

I always found it weird that Ascendence turn into flame spells so I rather not using it. Also it look ugly as hell

It would be cool if Ascendance turned your lava burst volcanic and lava beam was also volcanic. I think that alone might make it a viable build path for lightning builds, but maybe not.
