Legit `$90 to recruit friends into the game when the old content is garbage waste of time with current level system. Just a recommendation because your new play base is…weak at best. Old content is worthless and 1 shotting bosses is not fun in the slightest. If you want to charge for that, make the old stuff fun like timewalking or w/e so their 120 friends that got them to buy the game can have an adventure with them as well.
Tl;dr: we want to play with our friends and enjoy the game, don’t waste our time with this bs 120 lvl system. 20lvls cut it down from your 60. This isn’t the 2000s, nobody wants to waste time grinding just to hang out with people and actually play the game. Elitist 1v1 me because 90% are guild carried.
I never managed to get any of my friends to play WoW, save one that wanted to play Classic with me. Their complaint always come from “I am not gonna pay monthly for a game that I already have to buy an expansion.”
Oh, I told them this, multiple times, but they also don’t like the idea of leveling 110 levels, maybe come Shadowlands they would give it a try but I wouldn’t bet on that.
Also, it’s 30R$ here in Brazil, and since most of us are university students, paying for stuff like that is kinda annoying.
Had a feeling you weren’t in the US, that’s why I put it as $15 US
But yeah, if they are all in school, they might not have the disposable income to throw at something like this.
But yeah, SL might be a better experience for them if 110 is too daunting a task (which is part of the reason they are doing it I’m sure, a new player might see that as a monumental task).
I beg to differ. I’d imagine most people can get more out of WoW than many of the $60 games that have an 8-15 hour campaign and then some trash multiplayer tacked on.
Of course those things have died down in recent years but in the later years of the 7th gen consoles and early 8th gen those games we being released all the time.
Conveniently for my argument, it’s now a trend where those games keep getting updated for like 2+ years, meanwhile paying a sub for WoW four times (months) = $60
^ This. Let’s see. 1 night at the movies. What is it now? $10 or $12 just for ticket? Not counting popcorn, candy and/or drink? Even if you buy your own candy you are looking at over $15 for 1 1/2 - 2 hrs of entertainment. WoW == tons more hours of fun then that and it is 24 hours except on maintenance or unexpected down times.
