Why can’t it be new cosmetic mogs/armor?? Real question… Why does Blizz seem to pump out an endless supply of reworked mounts but we rarely get new armor sets or mogs. I don’t want to say it… But laziness? Mog sets = more work?
Mounts are cool for a week then its back to my usual… Just seems excessive at this point.

Mounts are more attractive for the general population in this game.
It works on human behavior and as a ‘lure’ to get into the game.
I like that they are putting these behind playing things and not paying for things per se.
I doubt though it’ll get them the audience they want. People who tend to go in have already tried, have plans to, or just have written it off completely and as a whole, people for the most part new to wotlk classic will MOSTLY just get the mount and bugger off.
Because most mogs are horrendous looking anyway

A singular mount would be equal to having to make 4 mog sets.
We also get an endless supply of new armor sets, too?
It’d have been really cool if the mount also included that orange/bronze coloration of the starter DK gear as a cosmetic set.
Still, mount looks amazing, definitely gonna get it.

I will always take a mount over any mog.
But, it wouldn’t bother me if they made a mount AND a mog.
I have not seen an entire outfit that I thought look good in a very long time. I mostly put together outfits from pieces that look good individually.
The only issue with that is hue variation
they need to make pre order transmogs, where the plate sets look godly

How do you measure that? Maybe they’re only more popular because that’s all we get and most people on the GD are conformists.

Perhaps by how many people go out of their way to get a mount vs. a mog? I mean, WE don’t have the statistical info, but Blizzard sure does. If they make more mount rewards, it’s most likely due to mounts being more popular.
Still, as I said before, there’s nothing wrong with making a mount AND a mog.
Mounts and pets are one size fits all. Cosmetics like armor are way more complex to create.
For a mog, I wouldn’t log in and worry about leveling anything in classic wrath, but for a mount, thats another story.
I’m pretty certain that mounts have a wider appeal, and feel like they have more value. I pay $32cdn for a shop mount, but I’d never feel a transmog was worth that.

I’d imagine it’s because somewhere in their data they found people like mounts more.
Mog threads outnumber mount threads at least 10/1… I don’t buy that.
