Why does horde have less paladin races?

i understand that the paladin was once the alliance exclusive class and shaman was the horde exclusive. but with bfa there are more alliance races that can be shaman. lets take a look

dark iron dwarf, draenai, dwarf, pandaren, and kul tiran human

and the only races within the horde that are able to be paladins are normal tauren (because god forbid any of the highmountain tauren joining the sunwalkers), blood elves, and in 8.2, zandalari troll. so that’s 5 alliance races that can be what was the former horde exclusive class, and only 3 horde races that can be the former alliance exclusive class.

and just for the sake of comparison here are the alliance races that can be paladin.

human, dwarf, dark iron dwarf, draenai, lightforged draenai.

looks pretty even.

Tauren, Orc, Goblin, Troll (horde shammy races.)
Dwarf, Draenei ( Ally shammy races.)
Pandaren ( both)

Horde races that can be Shaman:

  1. Orcs
  2. Tauren
  3. Zandalari Trolls
  4. Goblins
  5. Pandaren
  6. Mag’har Orcs
  7. High Mountain Tauren
  8. Trolls

Alliance races that can be Shaman:

  1. Draenei
  2. Dwarves
  3. Pandaren
  4. Dark Iron Dwarves
  5. Kul Tiran Humans

Alliance races that can be Paladins:

  1. Humans
  2. Dwarves
  3. Draenei
  4. Lightforged Draenei
  5. Dark Iron Dwarves

Horde races that can be Paladins:

  1. Blood Elves
  2. Tauren
  3. Zandalari Troll

So, to sum up:
Horde Shaman races: 8
Alliance Shaman races: 5
Horde Paladin races: 3
Alliance Paladin races: 5

Horde have 3 more choices than the Alliance for Shaman, while Alliance have 2 more choices for Paladin than the Horde.

TLDR:
It’s fine.

I actually appreciate that certain races can only be certain classes. I’m not sure why there’s this constant “It’s not fair!” attitude. Quite honestly, if you don’t like it, roll a BE and get on with your life.

Personally I threw up in my mouth when I saw first the Tauren become paladins, and then vomited all over my shirt when they extended it to Trolls. Neither one doesn’t make and lick of sense since the paladin is guided by The Light, not Earth Mother/Sun god[dess] or whatever.

Same as some human cultures fight for opposite factions, happens in rl too.

Anyway, alliance may have “more” races but horde has much better variance. There are massive differences between Tauren, blood elves and zandalari trolls whereas alliance has 2 forms of dwarves, 2 forms of Draenei and human. That’s really bland on the alliance side
