NO NO NO. You get on a zeppelin or ship. For gods sake this is an MMO.
Look at the raid in the adventure guide, open the map, right click the map to zoom out. You will now see the zone the instance is in and can quickly find the entrance on the map.
We already have dozens of different portal items and spells, it really isn’t way out of left field or anything lol
It adds to the mystery and adventure not knowing every little detail.
I remember loving intentionally getting myself lost out in the woods when I was maybe 10 or so. Made it feel like I was exploring trying to find my way back home, lol.
it gets annoying if youre short on time, though.
Exaclty. Too many portals cluttering up things and making them confusing. Juat need flight paths and a few ships/air ships.
Sometimes the directions the quest helper gives you are very unhelpful.
A quest to get from Ruby lifepools to Valdrakken might tell you go and take the ship back to Ogrimmar/Stormwind and then use the portal room there to get to Valdrakken.
Ideally, it would be great if you could maybe track your way to a dungeon or raid, kinda like how tracking a quest will tell you to go to X city and take Y portal, sometimes it’s really hard to remember how to get to places.
Try asking a city guard if looking for Transmog/Barber (or pretty much anything), they’ll mark it on your mini-map.
For navigation, although not needed, Tomtom is the best when it comes to pinpointing anything not marked on your map.
