Don’t get me Wrong I hate visions More then you do and more then the next guy. I even hate blizzard for visions.

I like visions, I got what I wanted out of it, enjoyed my time there.

I find it too hard, and I really want to succeed at it. At this point if I complete a 2-mask run it will be an accomplishment.
I already earned 50k corrupted momentos so bought the voidy dragon mount. So that’s something lol.

I hate Visions because I did them to what I thought was Hell’s End a few expacs ago… in BfA…. for so many Alts ….
Only to do them again for Head Enchants years later….

Not everyone does.
It’s controversial content, in addition to it being recycled, but some like it and some don’t. Some people get frustrated over the mechanics of it and how one bad move can end a run, but I’d say most people who don’t like it tend to be the ones frustrated that they can’t easily brute force it due to ilevel.

The learning process was annoying, due to how long it takes to simply clear to any of the hard things to try and figure them out. Add to that the fact that 1 mistake = wipe and start over, and it’s very time-consuming to figure out, for example, that Spell Reflect only reflects the first of Umbric’s missiles (one of dozens of things I’d like to experiment with). Then add the fact that Sanity drains (via boss abilities) are not in the combat log, and it can be very difficult to figure out the results of your experiment.
I suspect there are now plenty of guides that make the discovery aspect of it much easier. So now my only complaint is that HV’s are a little long… but that doesn’t make me hate them. It just makes them a one-and-done.

What are you having trouble with? Have you filled out your tech tree, and completed each area at least once (even with no masks) to reduce the passive sanity drain?
Well, it seems to come down to finishing off Alleria or Thrall. By the time I get to Alleria, I am either not dpsing high enough or not interupting what makes the floor go all bad. Then my sanity all drains out, even though I have one orb on reserve.
I did on prot pally then on mm hunter. At 2am I had to quit and say to heck with this.
Yes it’s all filled out. Multiple area clears. Oh and when I tried 4 mask (lol) Hogger was too much for my prot pally. (My toons 662-ish).
It will take more runs and more work.
I don’t hate them. But they aren’t very interesting after a few run through.

Visions were absolutely terrible when they first came out back in bfa. I fully intended to ignore them the second time around due to how horrible the whole experience was originally. But I got curious and tried it and guess what? They weren’t anywhere near as bad. I even managed to get the 5 mask achieves. But once I got all the cosmetics, I noped out asap. Still not a fan and I certainly wouldn’t use them to gear an alt (which is what their primary purpose is in TWW).
There are far more pressure free ways of gearing an alt.
Dookie content that you don’t feel powerful in. That’s the main problem with this company lately, is their lack of ability to let you feel powerful until the very tail end of the entire expansion.
No one is allowed to have a power fantasy anymore apparently, not in this game. In this game you make a house and play tea party like you’re a 7 year old girl.
I don’t hate Visions.
Alleria is annoying. Not sure which class you’re doing it on, but if you’re strictly melee, you spend a lot of time just avoiding stuff, and get precious few chances to do damage. Better make sure you know how to burst. As for interrupts, I think the only thing you can interrupt is Poly. It can’t be LoS’d, but there are plenty of other ways to deal with poly than a pure interrupt. Obviously if you’re on this Druid, you won’t have an issue. But this fight, IMO is like Zekvir. Do the mechanics. Worry about damage later. I guess 2 material suggestions I have:
- Keybind your Interact key (like on Underpin) so you can kick the bombs away
- Try to bait Darkened Sky. Like when she casts it, run away from her, and then when it’s on the ground, go back to her.
These things should open up some more DPS time. But you don’t need to obsess over them. Do them if you can.
That is extremely surprising. I’m ~670 and when I do this as prot (on this toon), I can do massive pulls that spawn hogger in the middle of them, like the entrance to Mage Quarter. I just run in and beat that first pack, along with numerous crawly guys, to pieces, and it usually spawns a hogger in the middle of it. Yeah I have to use cooldowns, but that’s fine. And this is on 8-mask. Physical survivability should be a non-issue for any tank in lower mask runs. To be fair, I don’t know anything about Prot Pally, but I can’t imagine they’re that much worse than warrior. I’m definitely not trying to be insulting, but dying to hogger as a 662 tank in a 2-mask is super wrong. Maybe you’re not using your defensive or self-heal abilities?

Same reason why I hate mage tower. I miss Rexxar or Thrall’s big sanity drain and I might as well start over. It’s exhausting.

Honestly, just was not prepared for how hard Hogger can hit. I run the Templar hero talents, which I think prioritizes dealing damage over Lightsmith.
After that, I just took that mask off and lowered my expectations. Going to build up from two to three mask instead of jumping to 4 or 5. Looks like I have to.
I will try visions on all my other alts to see what works from here on out.
I’m really enjoying doing them again, I went hard with it during BFA and got everything back then.
Also finding being a hunter is easy mode for it, went ahead and just slapped 4 masks on and managed to scrape through, doing 8 is going to be really hard.
Pretty sure if you keep throwing tantrums people will hate you far more than visions.
