When people said “everybody hates Gnome,” I thought it was a joke and made this Gnome warrior. It was fine until LvL15 just questing and stuff.
But from Level 15 - 35 I’ve tanking the dungeons and it was terrible.
The first dungeon, raging fire Chasm, I had 2 DPS who constantly moved to the mobs before me. And on my 2nd dungeon stockade, the dwarf paladin healer didn’t want to heal me. He was attacking the mobs as DPS and I had to ask him to heal me. I died many times because the healer dwarf didn’t want to heal me. I did nothing wrong, and didn’t say nothing wrong. Anyway, we got it done finally and despite of everything I said Thank you. And this dwarf paladin healer just said “lol” What does it mean “lol?” I’ve never seen a response like that to a “thank you.”
At shadowfang keep, it was the priest healer who wanted lead the group by attacking the mobs first. I joined the group and was talking to NPC to get the quest but I found the priest attacking the mobs so I hurried to the scene to save the group. I thought it was just one time thing but for the entire run she did this. I was patient and we got 3 bosses down but just before the last boss at shadowfang Keep, while we were waiting for the NPC to open the door, the group kicked me out…
Why does everyone hate Gnome? I thought it was just the Horde. But the alliance players hating the Gnomes really hurt me.

You might want to change your title from “everyone” to something else. Because “everyone” does not hate Gnome. I love playing my gnome. Have been one since launch. I know others love gnomes also. So therefore, “everyone” does not hate Gnomes.
Because someone has to be scum of the earth to make them feel better. They have to feel validation from players they never meet from their race choice, but validation only come within oneself.
I’m hoping that one day, Blizzard will implement a “Punt Gnome” button and we can just kick you guys around for fun. You’re about the size of a football right? You’re too tiny to do anything but tab target.
Lol. I am treated far more nicely on this character than any other character I’ve had before. Gnomes do have their haters yea, but they also do have many lovers. Perhaps you just need to find something neat to show you are more than just a gnome.
I don’t hate gnomes, I just prefer Goblins. I’ve never been partial to cute human-like races so they just never seemed interesting to me. I mean if I want the tech fantasy why not also be a little green guy who may or may not be in a Mob.
They are just a joke of a race. Their voice acting sounds like it’s parody. Their height is so small it effects targeting. And when they actually fight large bosses like Argus it defies logic how they could actually block or dodge his attacks.
Overall, the race is just made to be silly so they draw laughs just for that.
Plus they have escape artist.
Not a ‘gnome’ problem. It’s just a community issue where people are too impatient to let the tank do his thing.
Ran temple of sethraliss on my warrior where I had a priest healer who started pulling.
So, I let the mobs kill the priest before I started tanking because I can survive the mobs without a healer. Then the healer pulls the first boss, where I let the healer die again before I started tanking. The result was all but 1 dps dying but the boss still went down and I ended that fight at full health.
After dying 5 times, the priest stopped pulling mobs and all was well again.
