I started leveling an ele sham a few days ago, I’m up to 45 and having a blast in PvP. The burst is crazy, the utility is there, not to mention its absurdly fun with all the big crits and instant casts/procs
Ive done a fair amount of max level PvP so far this xpac and I don’t see too many ele shams. Why is that? Do they not scale well at 60? Or are they well represented, and I just haven’t noticed?
They aren’t a self sufficient spec low kiting potential and die to stuns pretty handidly.
They are in a really good spot in 3s and rbgs but aren’t the type to make montage clips like rogue mage or spriest as they lack control. Lasso and a non spammable cc (hex) isn’t too good for massive outplays.
Their having a blast too. They do get a decent amount of representation in 1v1 group arenas (dalaran the rogue videos)
And like said above are great in 3v3 and rbgs.
It literally comes down to just control and defensive\kiting that makes us a tad lower then some really good specs.
I’d put us as a solid high A tier. We just fall behind a bit compared to S tier rets, shadow, sub and balance.
I will say that if you master your class you should have no problems beating most players in the s tier classes just by the fact that those classes are over saturated with FOTM players.
Whats your opinion of enhance? How is the kit compared to ele?
I’m certainly more interested in ele but I don’t know much about enhance, so it might be worth it to give it a shot?
I have played a lot of Druid and have loved the fact that I have a tool for nearly every situation. I tried warrior and hated it for the opposite reason: all damage, few tools

About the same. However necrolord is best for ele/resto while venthyr is better for enhance.
Ele has the advantage of being ranged tho since mail armor is somehow squishier then cloth and leather.
Enhance has been rated as a tier by supatease himself so it really speaks for itself. With doom winds the burst is amazing and they can offheal there partner in 2v2s.
They are amazing in 2v2(they pair with warriors for double dps) and 3v3(turbo obviously) and are ok in rbgs. U just have to be more careful then ele since ur in ranged but ur bursts are very powerful and this is the burst meta
Ele is superior to Enh in PvP and PvE .
agreed except in Turbo. I think turbo is one of the strongest comps atm. and i definitely think Turbo is better than Thunder (though thunder is still both good and fun to play)
