So I am a little confused by this, as it isn’t even instant like Druid flight form. For anyone with a mount you can land and remount immediately, but for Dracthyr there is like a 5 second cooldown why?
Maybe because dracthyr use less vigor than mounts. Soar is skyward ascent with no vigor cost.
The CD is very short (10 sec) and starts as soon as you take off, so it has almost never been an issue for me. I really like the vigor-free initial boost.
Free take off traded for a short cooldown.
If I had to guess, it’s as already said in the thread, that they get a free boost. I use it between my mount being vigor-starved to get up into the air.
I think it is a good trade off. 10s CD with free launch.
This is correct. We get a free takeoff and it actually makes gathering superior to Druid.
I’m no herbalist but I think being able to loot without even changing forms is still sounds better for me. It’s close I’m sure
I’ve been a Druid forever, so I totally get that. I still play my Druid and still gather on her, but oh my goodness… never having to concern myself with vigor for gathering has been amazing for me!
Can we still not use soar in BGs?
If so, blizzard hates fun.
They also have a glitch when you take flight they some time don’t fly up they to the case and land back on the ground… Then you have to wait for the cool down to try again
True, I can see both being great… I stopped gathering a while ago I ran into too many bugs disappearing nodes etc
Their wings get tired easily. Scaled wings are heavier than feathered wings so tire out faster.
If that is true (why it is the way it is) I gotta laugh.
I mean, what about people that don’t use dragonflight style flying?
The bigger problem for dracythyr flight is that if your feet brush something you lose flight and have to land and take off again. Any other df mount you just hit skyward accent.
Then don’t do that.
Sendryn this is one of the plethora of reasons why I main devoker. Another reason is because it has a unique play style that feels so refreshing compared to most other dps which still use the same old build spend dps trope
