Why does Devastation use Red?

Alexstrasza and the Red Dragonflight is all about life magic. They are nature guardians who hate violence. Alex hates violence so much that she didn’t even wish death upon the orcs who captured and tortured her and her children. I know they technically use fire—notably at Wrathgate, but symbolically it was a purifying fire to clean the land. Idk I feel like it’s tonally off to go “red=fire=boom.”

Kinda wish they added red fiery spells to preservation and incorporated Black and Bronze magic back into Devastation.

because deathwing was making soldiers, not reflections of the flight leaders.

they also have ounch ounch hot hot fire too.
as seen in many fights against red dragons.

you do have Living Flame as the Red flight school spell.

it Hurts and it heals depending on target

Look at what the red life fire did to bolvar.

Fire burns and it’s neat that evokers use their fire spell to both do damage and to heal.
