It’s been almost 3 years now that majority of hunter pets have lost their SFX, why is blizzard so lazy that they can’t fix some sound files?.

The pets I tame have sound. Ducks and otters especially.

Isn’t there a setting to turn off pet sounds? Maybe yours is off.

No, my loque nahak, my skoll, my devilsaurs all have lost their sounds only certain pets do now.
Sounds like you need to do a complete fresh reinstall.

My hunters’ pets definitely have their sounds. In fact, I can’t keep certain pets out because I can’t stand their sounds (looking at you big cat pets that yawn and do that disgusting lip smacking sound over and over and over every time I pause for 1.5 seconds)

Started gearing my BM alt…
Feels very sluggish now but mostly… when did BM get an entire zoo of pets? So damn distracting having all these animal pop in and out of existence with attacks that go off screeen.
It’s like they’re trying to compete with zoom zoom DH’s in what can create the most visual overload.
I amusingly noticed that that sizzling crackling bonfire sound was coming from my Hellhounds…

Nah, the sounds have been gone a while now. It doesnt bother me. But, the OP is right.

Those annoying Goblin Hyenas from Undermine have sounds. My duo tamed two of them, They dont shut it.

My cats mostly do. But Loque does not.
Actually, it looks like it’s exotic beasts. At least, all of the ones I’ve tried aren’t making idle noises any longer.

Thok is noisy.
Considering there’s a playable class that’s soundless in one form… I’m not holding my breath. The class is even silent for error messages.

If only that were the case, its been this way since 2023 and other hunters have brung it up but it seems to only effect exotic pets for some reason. They’ve completely removed their SFX files.
I can still hear sounds from a Snow Leopard I just tamed today on my hunter in Dun Morogh. However, I don’t hear any similar yawning-type sounds from my new Lynx from Hallowfall. It’s odd to see the new cats make the same old stretch-and-yawn emotes but not hear any yawns. I would still enjoy the Lynx (and new cats) to still make some kind of cat yawning sounds as well. Leatrix Plus allows you to turn off the yawning sounds. But I’m a cat dad and love all the cat sounds.
