Yeah, topic says it all really.
Just reached 50 on a Warrior I’ve been leveling through Outland.
Now everything is level 30 and gets one shot, so I’m not really playing a warrior anymore, I’m playing a tank just rolling over everything.
Super lame. I honestly cannot think of any reason why Chromie time would not be allowed at 50.
Because you are supposed to be moving on to Shadowlands at lvl 50 and other than a few oddballs like you most people will. Why make content for the oddballs.
This isn’t content they need to make, this is a system they need to adjust the specifics of.
We used to have the ability to lock our XP gain too.
again this is not new content that takes a lot of development time, it’s just a system that already exists, that allows people to play the way they want to.
When blizzard made this system I am pretty sure they never even thought that a dozen or so people would want to hang around Chromie time for whatever reason instead of moving onto Shadowlands. In fact, this is a problem which will for most part disappear in another month.
I have to disagree.
Yes, in a month most people will be in Shadowlands, myself included.
But eventually, many will like to level some alts, do some old content for nostalgia reasons.
I think you really underestimate just how many people enjoy doing old content by the way, I’m sure there’s a hell of a lot of those people.
To some maybe,to others it’s perceived as a roadblock, repetitive and a filler slog fest to get to the new content [especially endgame] which for many are the meat and potatoes of the game. They slow that again to appease a minority you can only imagine the explosion of anger.
Sure a lot of people like doing old content, so much so they just keep on making new characters. There is only a small number who wants to hang around an area past 50.
I can see OPs point here, but you need to look at this from another perspective.
On your very 1st/main toon…yeah you wanna be doing Shadowlands content at level 50…but when you get to the umpteenth alt, I could totally see wanting an option to continue playing old xpac content.
I mean, it’s an option u can toggle on or off, I really don’t see why not to allow somebody to keep it toggled on even at max level if they wanna keep questing, for fun (yeah some of us like questing, lol) synced. (Myself I’m happy and prefer not to be leveled synced where I can avoid it…but I also like the option to be there, as something I can turn on or off)
What do they teleport you out once you hit 50? That isn’t the impression I was getting based on OP’s complaint.
Not designing the game to accommodate someone’s special needs is a lot different than forcing people out of content because they don’t want them to play that way.
Unless they changed it recently, yes, at 50 you get teleported back to your capital, and even if you want to continue what you were doing, you’re kicked out of Chromie Time and mobs no longer scale to your level.
My apologies, didn’t realise you didn’t know this.
Yes, they do teleport you back to Org/SW when you hit 50, remove chromie time, and disabled queueing for old xpac dungeons.
Now everythign in old xpacs (at least OL) is all level 30 so I one shot it.
I just want the option to keep playing it at 50.
EDIT: I didn’t know they kicked you out, it was just all of a sudden, which did make it all worse
I guess that was done as a convenience. Really odd for them to for once consider convenience though since that seems to be a dirty word for them in current content.
I was kind of hoping we could use Chromie time at max level so I could do my Loremaster Achievement at the same level as the quests and really feel like I earned it.
Plus the quests are just more fun when you actually do them instead of deleting everything you look at.
It’s weird how we hit a level 50 target for 2,000 damage with a big ability, then I go back to the old world and hit a level 20 for literally 4,000,000,000.
