This is a serious question. Why doesn’t blizzard start maintenance at like 3am PST? I mean, this is simply common sense on why a business wouldn’t do maintenance on it’s app during it’s main customer business hours. It’s like closing Target for cleaning from 7-3pm PST, it doesn’t make any sense.
Because the people who are doing maintenance wanted to make sure they slept first I guess

You can do that at 6am but not at 2am.
Can you imagine how buggy the patch would be if they applied it while in an uncaffeinated, un-avocado toasted, half asleep state?

Why do you cats cling to this like no organization has folks that work off hours. Blizz is a billion dollar company and wow is a 24/7 product - they are wasting our money on executives and everyone claps that someone doesn’t have an opportunity for a job.

The “majority” of people are at work or at school around the time maintenance happens. Lots of gamers stay up late or wake up early to play some games before going to work/school. The current maintenance schedule makes a lot of sense. No matter what time Blizzard decides to do the maintenance, there are always people who will whine about it.

Ya they used to start it earlier on reset/patch days like most MMO or game companies. Im geussing it’s more of a Human resorce issue, employees who don’t play had complaints about coming in at 3/4am pst 1 day a week. Used to be up by 8am EST. Sucks more for east coast as it lands durring mid day play time as it is now.

Blizzard is not the only gaming company that does regular Tuesday maintenance during regular business hours. They’ve also said that this timeframe has the least number of people impacted across the region.

It’s not a human resource issue, WoW has lots of money. It’s a greed issue - they can afford additional support instead of putting it on us.

Why to people like you cling to the fact that you think they should cater to your ideal time when they aren’t based where you live.

Sorry, but this is the worst excuse. I’ve worked many times at 3am, there are many people that would work at 3am for extra pay. This is not the answer.
Because they work normal business hours for the most part. And most of their player base is at work/school during those hours, too.
