Why does Blizz limit how many people we can ignore ingame?

Its almost like they are working with the spammers. Its really annoying trying to read important stuff when I’m getting spammed. Having to remove names doesn’t work, why should the player have to managed a list, instead of just being able to click one and done?

What important stuff are you referring to? And where are you encountering the spam? You can leave any of the chat channels if needed.

Also right click and report spam that will silence them from your chat till you log out. Don’t interact with them in any way. I know it’s not really the solution but it will weed a few spammers in the long term.

WOW doesn’t have a modern ignore system like their other games. Ignores need to work at the battle.net level, it shouldn’t matter what character you or the other person are on.

Thanks! I’ll use that idea instead of playing whack-a-mole with iggy’s

Ignore more adds more space for ignoring people

the Global Ignore addon doesn’t limit

Admittedly I don’t use add-ons, I play organic and yeah I know stupid me but I just feel the game should give the option of solving this problem without some outside source doing the job for them.

Unfortunately the games code only has so many slots without a massive rewrite. The ignore add-ons work a little different then how the in game ignore feature works. You would not know it’s there.

Thank you so much for the explanation. I’m a bit naive cuz I think it’s digital it should be an easy fix. Clearly I’m wrong and I do thank you for taking the time to point it out for me.
