I was genuinely having fun playing Slayer arms during leveling and the left over days of DF pvp. I know things can always change. But the start of every expansion arms is always dead weight in pvp. With the War Within it’s surprisingly worse. Even in DF season 1 when we were squishy as hell. I still managed to get to duelist quick. Switched over to fury which i’m doing way better in. But I really wanted to play my favorite war spec.
Also I’m no pro btw. Im a filthy casual that has his moments.
Arms is really not bad, it’s not Unholy/Fury/Rogue/Feral broken level but it’s not bad by any means.
I don’t think it’s disgustingly bad either. I was doing amazing in some comps. But there are certain stuff it just can’t keep up with. Plus with how one sided healers are right now. Arms feels like a coinflip.
Because they want to you play fury, they just assume warrior change to other spec
I mean clearly. They got me to do that. Fury is super easy to jump back into.
arms was A+/S- beginning of DF. for a few weeks before it got nerfed
We were squishy as hell. But Blizz kept giving us more damage buffs which wasn’t the problem. Things didn’t look well till they eventually brought back ignore pain. I remember even one of the glad dudes on yt calling arms season 1 ball torture gameplay.
Tho I’m not going pretend like I didn’t get to duelist fairly quick that first season. There was probably something there.
Wasn’t it kinda weak until they added IP in early January the following year?
I think slayer is in a decent spot and even better one once certain specs (frost etc.) got a tuning pass
Slayer arms is good. I love everything about the slayer playstyle. The damage is even there. But it doesn’t make as much of an impact as one would like. If anything ppl are just happy you’re there because of the fears.
it was spear meta, and MS was chunking for half peoples hp when stars aligned
He’s right before ignore pain came back with PvP damage buffs arms was garbage

That’s not at all what I’m trying to say. I just think the spec needs a little bump.
Also I never said arms was like bad, bad. It just feels like it’s lagging behind.

Probably. There has been some good too.
It feels that way because the gap between s tier and everyone else is crazy
Yep I’m now starting to realize there’s other factors to consider.
