Why does Blizz allow Multiboxing?

I have a picture of a player named {Names Removed - No Callouts} who only runs pre-mades in BG’s. He has been reported a ton of times, but nothing gets done. Can a picture be posted in here?

Why does Blizz allow Multiboxing?

Because its their game and they make the rules.

Who cares? Multiboxers (legitimate ones) are bad at BGs. Enjoy your easy HKs.

Because it is not against the rules to play multiple Bnet accounts. Reporting someone for it won’t change that. They just have to do it manually, without any software or hardware to facilitate it.

Common Problems

  • Is multiboxing allowed?
  • I want to report a player for multiboxing

Multiboxing, or playing multiple World of Warcraft accounts at once, is not a violation of our End User License Agreement. Please note, however, that use of all software or hardware mechanisms used to mirror commands to multiple World of Warcraft accounts at the same time, or to automate or streamline multiboxing in any way may result in account penalties.

For more information on our stance about input broadcasting software, see our official forum post.

To directly answer your question op

  1. Blizz makes more money. That’s obvious
  2. A lot of us neurodivergents have trouble making friends and multiboxing lets us deal with a ton of multiplayer obstacles
  3. Blizz allows it so get over it and quit posting people’s names on the forums

Multiboxing is not against the rules.

Calling out players in the Forums is.

I’ll call out anyone who ruins the game. If I get banned from the forums, so be it.

Well, enjoy the vacation

Multi boxing without software input sharing doesn’t make you win at the game, so no issues.

If you think that they’re playing with the assistance of hardware or software (all the characters fire abilities at the same time with no delay, for example) then report them. In a BG auto-follow also doesn’t work, so if they’re all moving together that’d also suggest hardware/software assistance.

If the “duplicates” are on your side and are sitting in the base doing nothing, report them for AFK.

It’s near impossible to multibox “legitimately” in a BG so if you suspect something is off, a right-click report is going to do a whole lot more than a disallowed forum callout.

It is, and has always been, my opinion that multiboxing ruins the game for others. It has been used to grief and exploit.

We all know why they allow it: Its more money. Why would Blizzard prevent you from getting 10 copies of TWW? Its money, and its always been about money.

And just FYI, similar names doesn’t mean multiboxing. I know another group that runs premade BGs where all the character names look the same, and it’s multiple people (I’ve been in their voice chat). Which is much more likely because as someone said, multiboxing in PvP is complicated (as you can’t /follow a master character)

Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be…

They don’t. It USED to be allowed but then they banned it.

Multiboxing is very much still allowed. The use of any sort of software etc is not.

Because they’re paying for those accounts?

Blizz scans your computer for the multi boxing software, so I would think a software assisted multi boxer would not last very long now.

Good man. I can’t believe how many blizzard stans there are here.

I have bad news for you, it’s NOT banned.

They don’t, it is an intrusive action and they don’t have admin rights to do so when you run wow.
