I’m drving back n’zoth’s forces and clicking obelisks and fleshy piles and banners and killing things and everything is literally giving 1% contribution to the 100% total. Why?

events, rares and caches give you the most %. you can knock out the assault pretty quickly doing the events alone.

Doing super quick events will jump you up by like 20%. Killing Silver rares will jump you up by 10%
You really only do anything else if it’s convenient or for the dailies.

all good but i want to know why this one quest and the objectives within aren’t giving like 5-7% completion and why only 1% this one world quest has taken me over half and hour and I am only at 73%…
or be a tank, pull half the zone, aoe burst them down and be done in 20 mins.

usually, it takes 3-4 events to finish the assault, wich can be done in less then 15 minutes, if you don’t want to run randomly, i suggest you to get handy notes and the handy notes vision of n’zorth module wich will show you wich events are up
because the mobs and clickables are more or less farmable. you can gather up 20+ oozes at one place and aoe them pretty quick. the one-offs give you more bang for your buck because you can only do them once per day

have handy notes… i guess i am now realizing this is the assault? i thought it was one quest contained in the assault not the whole thing. weird.
no, it requires you to have the handy notes addon and then you can download the module on twitch, it will show circles on the map where the daily events are 
It takes like 10 minutes tops to do an Assault. Just chase events, it takes like 3. Maybe a rare or 2 thrown in.

yeah lol i have that all set up. my bad here. I thought the drive back the forces thing was one WQ in a few to complete the event so when it was taking forever to complete I was miffed.
nah, you can simply focus on the daily events to fill your bar real quick, its how i do with my alts, i do quests on my main and on alts, i faceroll the events in less then 15 minutes
Do the bonus objectives…not sure what they are callee, but the big silver icons on your minimap. They grant a ton of assault %. Killing rares also grants a decent bit.
Do the events that are marked with a white skull on mini map (I think that’s what the icon is), they give anywhere from 15-25%. That combined with the 3-4 quests you’re given it should take 15minutes maybe.

nah, ten mins is a little too small but definitely nowhere near an hour
I find doing the events is the best way to go. They give about 30 percent.
spirit drinker used to be pretty bugged but i’ve been able to find it fairly reliably on days where it’s up
Last couple of days I’ve just seen his four adds wandering around without him.
