Well, I know it’s already been like this for a while, but I’ve been thinking about it. It has a two minute CD, you only get fast for a few seconds before it becomes pretty meh. Whereas here’s paladins who can have 2x divine speed, which is much faster (100% for 6 seconds, vs 90% for 3 sec then 30% for 6 sec), has a much shorter CD. Every time I log into my hunter from ANY other class, the speed boost seems so sub par, especially when you’re in combat. Trailblazer doesn’t make up for it at all, unless you’re in a phase were you don’t do DPS for at least 3 seconds. Generally, if you’re moving, you’re still going to try to DPS if possible, so the ‘when you haven’t attacked in 3 second’ thing kinda ruins it, doesn’t it?
I feel like, if you’re gonna do a big speed increase for the first 3 seconds… shouldn’t it be more than 90%? If paladins can outpace our so-called cheetah mode, kinda feels off.

I have no idea how people do that without getting dizzy or sending theirself off in the wrong direction.
Practice, just work on quickly turning your mouse around, and knowing what direction you want to go.

I use disengage but it’s also always seemed silly for aspect of the cheetah to have such a high cooldown. The effect it gives doesn’t warrant such a high cooldown in my opinion.

I feel like it may be tuned around hunters general higher mobility. Makes it seem more valid if you look at it from that perspective. Oh and we get disengage too ofc.
Don’t forget that hunters also get a 30% speed buff for not attacking for a few seconds. That even stays on while being attacked.

When you have Shaman’s Ghost Wolf that can never let you go slower than 100%, and that class has just as much ranged capability as Hunter, it’s a bit lame. Warlock’s Burning Rush is even better.
Outlaw Rogues can get 130% for free.
This makes Hunter the body positive class that isn’t a complete couch potato, but not by and far the lean and in-shape class.

Yeah. Cheetah’s CD is waaaaaaaaaaay too long for what it does. With its current effect the CD should be 60-90 seconds.

Disengage and pathfinder.
And most situations your raid team has time spirals planned out anyways so you have cheetah for important mechanics.
Try doing your rotation in ghost wolf
I don’t have mobility problem in PvP. it’s just it would be much better if Moment of Opportunity gave the 90% speed instead of 30% and we had snare immunity during that 90% burst of speed so i don’t have to always pair Cheetah+Master Call.
Try realizing that a GCD is half as short as the time needed for Trailbrazer to kick on after no hostile actions. Try also realizing that Shaman can still do some abilities in wolf form.

I miss the old Cheetah. Makes us fast long as it’s active but any damage dazes us.

Unless you Glyph it where it doesn’t daze but turns off.
kinda want the old aspect back.
not this cooldown thing
Sorry, you’ll have to speak up, right as you spoke there was Gust of Wind.

Guess I’ll have to disengage from the conversation
Movement speed boosts aren’t for attacking, they are for moving from place to place. Rotation is irrelevant.
Aspect of the cheetah only buffs the hunter for a shorter duration than druid stampeding roar with the added bonus of having a longer CD and less speed.
It’s a silly talent, and a “meh” pvp one. Baseline should be 1.5 min CD and party wide. No talents or further work needed. At 3 min it should clear root and snares for entire party/raid.
