I know he loved his horse a lot before the corruption. Must have loved his dog too.

I wondered the same thing.

Azeroth is misremembering Arthas as Arfus, it’s probably just there as a silly joke.

Nah we need to keep them. This should have been a battle pet reward for this event!

I wish it was a dog, but there was nothing left thanks to Blizzard, they want to close the book for more new Cringe New Heroes.

And that’s even though the book closed with many mysteries, like his corpse, the remains of his soul in Azeroth as in the Shadowmourme, and possibly if that fragment of tortured soul that vanished in Zereth Mortis really became extinct.

Maybe that’s not Arthas but instead, Arthas’ dog waiting for him to come back?

It represents his loyalty to his people.

Headcanon:

When you ‘die’ in the Shadowlands — You don’t actually cease, you simply reincarnate back into the physical world (Like in the anime Bleach) without previously held powers or memories.

And thus … Arthas was reincarnated as a puppy!

Plot twist: Arfus is Arthas.

Well considering he had no loyalty and saw the people of Lorderon as quite literally his people yuh no definitely not.

Just a cute reference to a Halloween pet
