Why do you still play WoW?

With Shadowlands giving a massive turd to the franchise, and an overall bad taste in nearly everyone’s mouth, why do you still play?

I play because I have 1) a connection to my characters, 2) my uncle still plays, 3) Classic offers a good leveling experience imo, 4) I RP.

I’m mostly just leveling a rogue on Classic WoW right now.

My Shadowlands characters primarily exist to farm easy gold so I don’t actually have to pay for my subscription.

Despite all the hate the game gets, there really isn’t anything better out there right now.
The game has flaws, but it keeps me entertained when I need it to.

Because I enjoy the people and the community despite it being toxic, WOW people are the most entertaining people I’ve ever spoken to. That and I enjoy playing with my friend. Besides, there’s not a better MMORPG to play right now. And before someone says “Play FFXIV uwu”. No. I don’t care for that game. I played it for few months, never again.

Because prot warrior is a good spec and I want all the mouth breather pugs to see first hand what we’re capable of. When the day comes that we’re busted op(and we will be) the scum of Azeroth will come groveling to my feet asking for Karries

In the end, I will say no, because I’m done with that busted dungeon

I’m honestly just waiting for wrath classic for some nostalgia. That’s pretty much it. Just killing time until then.

imo shadowlands is automatically superior to bfa just because it doesn’t have that insane infinite level and ilvl scaling. go back to bfa zones at 60 they have the same hp as revendreth mobs at 60.

Because I’m having fun, I find the gameplay loop enjoyable.

If I didn’t have fun, I’d stop playing as I’ve done many times in the past.

So people go too deep on this like it’s some sort of life commitment :joy:

And they are blowing up BCC realms and converting them to Wrath realms so I’ve gone back to Classic_Era to be safe :relieved:

Same, and I like how they revamped my favorite spec. While I wish totems were more of a thing and that we had a tank spec, Shaman is by far my favorite class to play, and Enhance is my bread and butter now.

I still enjoy the game, I wasn’t hard pressed about being locked in a covenant, so i had a lot of fun. I also think season 4 is amazing. I do take breaks when im bored, but doesn’t any sane person instead of burning a hame till you hate it?
