Your not wrong
ive posted on this character for as long as i have used these forums, it used to be my main up until Legion but i posted a bunch on this character that it feels weird if i post on anyone else
WHY DO YOU POST ON AN ALT?
internet stalkers.
nuff said.
Usually I post on whatever toon I consider my main at the moment, however, I do also tend to post on whatever character is most appropriate to the discussion.
IDK, either I forget I swapped to it and they use it in their argument to try and tell me I donât know what Iâm talking about. With latter being the age old âLUL get gud scrb, your so under geared LULâ. Which never ceases to amuse me cause they know they lost the argument.
Where as I typically just use my main as I donât really have anything to hide from my guildies or others.
I actually post on multiple characters.
I change depending on which one Iâm currently focusing on.
I ran into a forum goer in the game. He was really nice.
Ikr. I kinda wish someone would tho ;(
I sprained my thumb flipping through the dictionary.
Iâll use an alt to post if the alt has a specific quality (e.g., class, race, profession) that is pertinent or adds credibility to the post in the thread.
Iâm also a closet rpâer, so occasionally Iâll switch to an alt to post something snarky, or out-of-character for Lia.
I post on this alt because I love her mog. I never play her, but my mains change so it really doesnât matter
I post on my main but wish I posted on an alt instead.
Not for any nefarious reasons. Iâm not trying to hide. I can be snarky but I donât think Iâm mean to people (and if anyone has ever felt I was mean to them, I do apologize. I love yâall, you just say some silly things. Donât we all?)
The reason I wish I posted on an alt is my main tends to change race and name a lot and every time I do that my forum everything gets reset.
this is actually my main before im benching it for SL at least. if i ever post on a main otherwise which i have before itâs almost 100% the fact that im lazy af to swap it. the ONLY reason i will swap my toons on here is because if people want to argue with me over dumb stuff you bet we gonna argue.
baffles me how people come on here but donât even bother to read they just post. saying the same damn thing that i just stated then @ me -.-"
Yeah, I am sure people donât wanna be stalked and trolled to death because they said something you didnât like homies.
For me itâs continuity.
If I post on one character, to me, itâs easier for people to know who they are talking to.
Otherwise youâd have 40 random toons posting all the time.
Also, it makes keeping track of forum replies and comments easier.
Otherwise I may not reply to someone for weeks if I swapped characters a lot.
Iâve been given crap for posting on an alt, especially for posting as a dh.
So much dh hate gets thrown around when I posted on class balance issues.
âLook at the dh defending dhâs⌠checks outâ
I hadnt played my demon hunter in a long time, heck I played feral druid, and still got crap for posting as a dh.
Despite that, I have no reason to post on characters I play to validate myself to some rando on the internet, so I will continue posting on this alt.
Exactly this. Personally, I think itâs just paranoia. Theyâre just so afraid someone might say mean words to them.
I post on this character because it is the first character I made when I started playing the game back in Vanilla. It has been through a few race changes and a faction and name change, but I will never delete it. Since I donât play him much, I decided to make him my forum character.
cuz I can.
I post on an alt because I want to be able to talk about a game (and sometimes not about the game) without forum tryhards being all like âbuh buh you didnât get this achievement your opinion doesnât count.â
Granted that doesnât stop them anyway, especially since none consider that maybe people have had more than one account and that a sound argument should be taken as such regardless, but still.
I also like Sticks.
