I’ve been playing since launch. I can’t seem to pick a character but I wonder if that’s due to a lack of community.

Why do you play?
Because I can’t sing or dance.
My characters are cute, I like doing dungeons, and I like collecting stuff.
Hope.
Hope for what?
Momentum, comfort level.
WoW is very comfortable, so easy to slip in and out of.
Combat system is fun and engaging for me
I love MMOs, have played several.
WoW is easily the one with the snappiest movement and combat, it just feels the most reactive.
I play bc it allows me to do something fun with my two younger brothers who moved downstate and I no longer get to see in person on a regular basis anymore.
All of these reasons for me.
Plus I’m a collector. Not a super serious one but I have several characters I actively go out hunting and collecting on. Mogs, mounts, rep…whatever.
I play to patiently wait on player housing.
Looking FABULOUS and RP.
The zones I have been in feel more like “home” than any place I’m living in IRL does. I’ve known them for longer and I’m happier to return to them.
For Fun.
For fun! And comfort. The music and art of the game, and just the sounds are familiar. Makes me feel happy to play,
I like the cartoony fantasy world.
I feel like it is rather cartoony
I got too hooked on the dopamine kick I can never regain while forcing myself to trudge through endless levels to see what makes this game tick.
I the end I guess I was angry but also entertained enough to hang around. Yes this is a true story don’t look at me like that. It was also my first real mmorpg.
Some people see gamers playing WoW and ask “Why”?
Ohers see gamers playing WoW and ask “Why not?” - Paraphrase of RFK
It’s fun. If it wasn’t I wouldn’t play.
