Because I have grown to like trolls, love the Zandalari and culture in BFA, and elves weren’t an option for shamans, using night elf skeleton is nice and better posture then the Darkspear.
Also love the native american aesthetics/influences from miiddle and south americas and architecture. Love the male physique too.
Also didn’t mind the Wakanda references and the african like accents of some of the troll races. Zandalari trolls got a nice mix of stuff from the real life, and honestly are a nice race to fall back to since murlocs, Naga and races such as Nightborne or undead can not be shaman.
I also grew to like the racials. Gonk racial is nice, goldmaking racial for just killing stuff is awesome. Big heal buff is pretty nice when you can use it. One of the racest that looks the best chestless with the tattoos.

Right!!?!?!?!?!
They can be Priests, so why the hell not Paladins!? I freaking love gnomes and this disparity is flaying my soul

I would be a small, bright beacon of Light.
I play them as a form of mental exercise,if you dive into a culture what would it be like? What food would they have ? what pattern they would make in there clothes ? etc. Use the mind while I still have to some what functional.
Honestly…I’d love to be Undead. Orc had better PvP racials forever, until the new trinket set bonus threw BiS race to NE and DI. I’m not even close to the top 5% where race matters anyway. It’s a mental game. A mental game I’m losing.
First I will say that I discarded the Alliance because at the time they were all variations of Humans.
Normal Humans, slightly smaller Humans and even smaller Humans and then the Night Elf.
My first character was a Night Elf and I remember that at the time a friend told me on MSN (that’s how old the story is) “if you are playing in the Alliance then I will never be able to help you, I have an Orc called LouFerrigno”.
At that moment I said “but what Horde race can I use? I don’t like any of them”.
And I decided for a Troll.
Years later TBC came out and I was shocked by the space goats!
Clearly it was a calling. I had to use one of those goats! Those horns, that waist and that dance… but I already had my group of friends and we had already decided our respective roles in the next Raids…
I abandoned my Troll and switched to a Blood Elf Paladin and I was the MT of the Guild all TBC until the beginning of Cataclysm, when Blizzard modified the Aggro formula and tanking became a joke.
Luckily the Raid Leader, Guild Master and Master Loot were all different people, which made everything more agile. I didn’t have to worry about giving orders or calling mechanics.
I would gladly fulfill my dream of being a space goat (the normal ones or the golden ones) if we could raid between factions.
Because Dwarfs are the best race.

Grew up obsessed with Halloween and horror stuff.
Eldritch race with vampiric appearances and potential traits? That’s a mutated version of a race that I enjoyed on the other faction, returning to it’s original faction, which I preferred from the start?
Oh hell yes.
Over half my alts are velfs now, with a handful of darkfallen mixed in, and the single high elf.
This char- will of forsaken
My Vulp - flippy flips
When I first started playing this game and picking the shaman class, I could only pick between three races, tauren would’ve been a very close choice, but I ended going with the orcs. I have always loved their lore and really how they came to be.
I also really like Thrall and that also helped me make my choice.
I like being short and hot but in more of a trashy way than gnomes, you know?

Minotaurs aren’t normally a fantasy race played in MMOs. There are plenty of cats, bunnies, and wolves found in MMOs. But hardly any cows. Guess other franchises don’t consider us cute or ferocious looking.
Well i’m on the same boat for this guy, didn’t have much of a choice.
Favorite Race is probably Worgen, i always liked the myth behind Werewolves and i like Victorian aesthetic.
Otherwise i go Human/Undead/Nelf for PvP purposes.
Because I wanted high elves and this was the closest we got. I eventually got attached to this character and looks so when the helf customizations came out, I made a helf hunter and kept and mained this one.
A long time ago when i started playing in tbc i always saw these top tier players hangout in elwynn with their high end gear and pvp mounts and they were all human females
So when i started pvping i just associated human female to it
I always had a lot of admirations for the human female paladins protecting the towns from the horde questgiver killers

Because most mogs only look good on certain races like Humans, Elves, Undead, and Orcs. Everything else is just too bulky, tiny, or weird looking.
