Hi everyone! I am looking at starting a new primary alt, but im a rather indecisive person. I’m a casual player, not really into healing, not pushing high end M+ or anything, i just enjoy the content and lore. I was wondering why yall play the class you do as maybe an insight into what I should give a shot. Thanks in advance!
I used to play Rogue because i always liked a stealth and fast type of gameplay but Blizzard ruined the class so now i play Warrior
I play rogue for the insane amount of utility it gets. Good for basically all content, including rather reliable solo work.
Shaman is for the kurZaps and Thunderbumps off cliffs obviously.
I’ve been leveling mage (the last class I never leveled and DI for the last heritage armor Alliance I haven’t done) and I’ve found out that mages are basically Rogues and Hunters utility wise in their escape mecanisms and kiting abilities.
I now wonder why more people don’t just play mages.
I haven’t found them quite that good, but two blinks and an invisibility (two if you’re Nelf) are pretty great boons overall. I don’t mind playing my mage.
There’s no feeling better than charging your weapon with elemental forces then slamming it into your enemies FACE.
The Druid I’ve grown to like from a purely gameplay standpoint. They are quick, stealthy, and are fun to play as a magic class (those sun/moon spells they are nerfing are most excellent, I must say). Never felt connected to the lore or the world with them. They always felt more Night Elven to me, and that’s what they were restricted to (and as males only) in Warcraft 3, until they also wanted to use them as a class in WoW. Just watched the GDC design presentation about this last night actually. They broke the lore to make them playable.
The Death Knight I just started feels much more connected to the world and lore, pretty much from the beginning. It takes me back to Warcraft 3, where you are directly involved in everything that’s going on and are called up for that specific reason. There is also more backstory, and when going to Northrend it feels more meaningful than just going there when the level criteria is reached. It would be great if they added more classes like this.
'cause this is likely as close to a Tinker as I will ever be able to play.
Clerics and paladin are my jam.
I play dh because I’m dumb and lazy.
Lmao. That’s next on my list!
You are going to get dozens of different answers because everyone’s taste is different.
I would make one of every class and play them for 10 or 15 levels. That will give you a better feel for them.
Who knows, you may end up being a crazy person like me and end up with tons of alts you enjoy leveling.
If that doesn’t work you can’t go wrong with a Tauren Paladin.
enhancement shamans used to be fun not really any more.
Thank you good sir.
I have a bunch of alts of varying races and classes, and I enjoy playing all of them.
Everyone is different, the only way you’ll truly know if you like something enough to spend time on it is to give it a try. Either level to 20, or make a trial character that would have high level abilities and try that.
Monk, hunter, rogue, warrior, mage, demon hunter, death knight and paladin are my favorite to play. I struggle to get into druid and I’ve had trouble leveling warlock, shaman and priests in the past, although getting more into them lately.
I went Fury Warrior because I like the fast pace. I like to rage and I like duel-wielding.
BM Hunter or WW Monk. Both are good dps and have good survivability.
This is pretty dang fun and silly, but I prefer melting faces clean off using eye beam. I like to picture faces melting off like at the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc.
Also, DH has some pretty good dps, excellent survivability, glowy tattoos, good movement, and you can tank in a pinch if you have to. Also, it’s one of the few classes in the game that still has single resource management instead of dual resource management.
Bears are cool.
