i keep trying to make one and then deleting them very quickly but i definitely want one but don’t know which class. what are your reasons for playing/maining a velf?
I play as many things. I made a Void Elf Frost Mage because I wanted a character to be the polar opposite of my Blood Elf Fire Mage.
I also race changed a Blood Elf Sub Rogue to Void Elf because Sub Rogues use Shadow Magic and now it feels wrong to see Blood Elves using Shadow Magic.
so mostly lore related reasons? that’s as good a reason as any. i was debating which class though. how are you liking your mage?
Clearly it is for the cheaper transmorg, oh and the accent.
Well, it’s a Mage.
Your character’s Race doesn’t change gameplay a whole lot. She gets cheaper transmog and a funny extra teleport that’s useful but kinda weird to use. And she turns purple from time to time.
The way I see it, fantasy is pretty much the only reason to pick a race. I create a character. Not a WoW toon, an actual character. I give them a backstory, a personality, etc. And from that the race comes out naturally.
mage in classic is a ton more fun than mage in retail. i have a level 100 gnome mage that i want to level but in retail they’re just so squishy.
Boredom and the hair.
I have only one Void elf she’s a Warlock. I have her to level 120 but haven’t messed with her much. I made her to see the Alliance side of the BfA story nothing more nothing less.
warlock master race.
Shadow Priest is the only way to go.
Discipline priest because my mage tower staff looks huge.
Yes, I’m compensating for something.
I created a VE hunter to level for the armor - and then when BFA went live, continued to level her to 120. lol
I was happy to have a blueberry colored Blood Elf to play as well. I’ve always found them to be cute and sassy.
My favorite color is blue. ‘3’
Purple/blue here different variations of both.
The only appropriate classes for Void Elves are Priests and Rogues.
I honestly can’t play one for very long because the dark, corrupted elf theme doesn’t sit very well with me. The longer I play one the more I wish I was on my Blood Elf.
Blizzard REFUSES to let me play as a high elf and TBH blood elves just don’t “fit” with the horde theme. I say this as a long time horde player and yeah until such a time as we can “betray” our starting factions I’ll continue to play/prefer Void elves. The one thing I wish they had above all else were more hair/face options, but at least they didn’t get shafted like nightborn… dear God they look bad.
Friend likes the wings.
Because we don’t have High/Blood Elves on ally side I just like how the armor looks on that model. If my DK could be a Velf I’d race change in a heart beat.
Don’t listen to the naysayers, OP; VE totally rocks any caster class…ESPECIALLY in PVP.
The secret sauce isn’t EE or some uber special x-mog or turning blue.
None of these non-believers have pointed out why VE is stealth meta: Preternatural Calm.
I’ll elaborate.
Got a rogue on you? A warrior?
With PC there is NO pushback to your casts (this is huge actually…and again…no one talks about it; even on the arena forums) when taking damage. That means that there is no delay when you are being tickled.
As an hpriest, long as you are healing yourself, are juking kicks and/or forcing them to kick your MC (shadow school), then the healing train on you keeps right on rolling…
When you have rogues ragequit b/c they can’t take you down and decide the game is ‘broken’, then you will know why I roll a VE.
