Do you like to argue? (I think most fit under that one) Do you find it as fun as–or more fun than–the game itself?
Social platforms like the forums, in-game /2 and /4 are a game for me. Addicting ones, at that. They feature things like
- building rep and figuring out the strats
- feeling out what’s OK to say and what’s not OK
- finding my “team” of players who share the same opinions
- recognizing the best and worst forum users so I know how to engage discussion
- taking screenshots of really, really funny moments
Plus, messing up on the forums is more punishing than losing DPS or requiring a brez. I don’t know if this is an extroverted tendency or something else, but I truly play social platforms, like the forums, like a game. It’s at least more fun than LFR or random BGs.
Anyway… it’s a weird one, but that’s why I love the forums. It’s a fun game. Who else?

It’s a source of entertainment. Especially the ppl that legit nerd rage. 10/10 when I find peeps with a dry sense of humor too.

I don’t take the forums seriously at all. In-game, I can’t stand Trade or General, so I usually have them off. However, on the forums, I just love the sheer number of people who take a videogame so seriously.
I definitely enjoy trolling, and sometimes I will make a statement just to rile people up. I seriously get a rush out of it.
It helps pass the time at work, that’s for sure!

Personally I come to scan for game related, light discussions about topics that interest me. I’m not a hate seeker and generally avoid the most obvious of Troll threads…generally.
It’s very hard to find topics that I want to chime in on. 
Oh, me too. I live for the internet drama. Riling people up IRL can have serious consequences, but online, you can make one absurd statement and watch everyone else break into a bar fight. You can sit back in hysterics and hope you’re not suspended for too long this time.
Lots of people take internet statements too seriously. I like when people come to argue on my Give Worgen Tails thread because it just keeps it bumped and more people see it.

Some threads and individuals are entertaining. Sometimes, you can find actual helpful information in here. Sometimes I can actually give helpful information. Sometimes I can be a smart… The complete rage threads, I generally avoid.
Cause they’re bored = no content so we come to the forum
WoW forum PVP more engaging than BFA PVP.

1.) They’re funny. I laugh really hard after at least one post per day.
2.) I’m stuck at home. I’m in SoCal, and the rules here for isolation are still pretty brutal. I like having people to talk to about something fun, something non-political, something non-COVID related, and something social.
3.) I really love this game and have very few people IRL to talk about it with until after 6pm when my guildies come home from work and get online.
4.) I am an introverted and shy person face-to-face, so typing environments are easier for me when socializing with strangers.

Could be worse. Could be completely lax like Florida and watching COVID cases skyrocket.
To the OP, I come here for amusement mostly.
I like to see what people are saying about the game… and tell them why they are wrong. That usually gets people fired up.
I also come for a well placed /WAGGLE

It’s my only real form of socializing. The forums has its fun entertaining side which I like, a lot of you guys are cool. I also just enjoy helping people and answering things.
I actually hate arguing and negativity, even though I can’t resist being the opposing side sometimes. But in salt or sunshine the forums is what I do.

I use to look to the forums for help with the game a long time ago. Now I just come here to pass time while I’m at work.
I saw a headline about Florida this morning. Something like: Florida Closes Day After Reopening
We’re all going to go through this, aren’t we?

I like to talk to people and share my thoughts about the game. I love when people share their tips, too, like when we were struggling with Il’Gynoth and then finally got a Kill’Gynoth! The forums are helpful and most people are nice. I just /ignore the ones that aren’t and it’s been a pleasant experience so far.
