I think Unholy is an amazing spec with lots of flavor: Apocalypse, Army of the Damned, Magus, Epidemic, so cool. Some people might be put off by the diseases etc but I think it’s great. Frost is looking good for TWW but current Frost feels pretty bad IMO. Blood’s theme is really cool too but don’t really tank so not much to say. In general a melee character with great defenses and abilities to use at range feels great.

Ive been drawn to them since they became playable.

Death Knights fit my asthetic very well in real life and in game.

You have to be really metal in real life to enjoy Death Knights. You just have to be that guy/gal who gets it.

I like the idea of causing pain, raising an army of destruction, spreading diseases, and healing from your torment! But that’s just me man, so it works for me.

And riders of the apocalypse soon to boot!

I like the aesthetic/class fantasy of it

The playstyle is not in a great place right now but I played it back when it was, so I’m already invested

I don’t actually care about mobility all that much, my survivability is higher

I made one simply because back in the day, you couldn’t be a Human Hunter. And at the time my Main was a Warrior… and I refused to tank (Im terrible at it) so…
Needless to say. I never got a group. So I quit Wow mid BC and came back for Wrath.

Main ever since. And lately, I hate everything about it and the future doesn’t look like it’s getting any better.

Suffer Always

Blood is great if you enjoy killing things and surviving with virtually no effort. I love mine and I can take on pretty much anything solo.

That’s what draws a lot of players into the DK. Everything else follows suit.

I created my DK when Lich King came out, ages ago.

The inital scenario was something I ran with. There were lots of little bits to the story of the toon I enjoyed: Here’s a hero, resurrected as a pawn. There are NPCs being destroyed around the toon because they didn’t cut the mustard.

The toon was then treated pretty darned well. Valkyries would personally come and get you, you got gear and rewarded for fulfilling the tasks set (horrible though they were, the toon at that time was not themselves.) and OP as they were then, they learned to be effective killing machines whose ever present pain lessened when killing, so their value of the living was pretty non-existent.

Then they got free and discovered that the Lich King was no more than a kid with daddy issues and were now at loose ends but free willed. So you continue on against what you once worked for…

That helped lay the groundwork for that toon and when I play it. The powers tie to that experience and despite the changes and redefining specs and nerfing along the way, that remained the essence of the character for me.

That is how I deal with the side of things. That being said, my first toon ever was a Forsaken warlock just for the sheer novelty of playing something unusual.

I like the aesthetic, have a couple unholy and a couple frost, don’t really care for blood though. I like the aesthetics of a lot of classes though, I guess I’m pretty easy to please.

I really like blood. Having that level of agency as a tank is great!

I also really enjoy the play style of unholy for raid and now that you can ignore wounds in big aoe I like it for m+ too.

I enjoyed frost in SL when I could keep breath up for a very long time but I’m not a fan of the oblits build. It’s not intuitive enough… I think I can’t really describe it.

Was thinking of trying a death knight in the remix. The cloak and gems could make it enjoyable for me.

The current raid strat is for everyone to cast ward on the tank and then the healers pump them full of over healing so when the shield breaks it is huge.

Bdk is great for this because of vamp blood giving a 30% heal taken buff. Also death strike might also contribute.

I don’t raid so…

Blood is one of my most played. AoE & interrupts, plus the health regen, makes them near impossible to kill. The tradeoff is it takes more time to kill things than other specs.
