Please, help me to understand.

Her Night Warrior ascension didn’t even get a proper cinematic. (But we get plenty of Jaina crying) Her portrayal in game to the burning was atrocious, she was barely in Darkshore for that warfront and now you’re shelving her for at least another year?

This expansion was literally Tyrande’s time to shine. When I heard 8.2 had Azshara I was so excited, I thought the Night Elves would be leading to charge, spearheaded by Malfurion, Tyrande, and Shandris.

But no. The Alliance effort is being led by Walmart Elsa and Genn. And as much as I love Genn, WHY IS HE THERE? Y’all will really put in a murloc to confront Azshara of Tyrande!

Please, just kill them off if you’re just going to mistreat them. At least then the disrespect will be gone.

Yeah, it’s pretty rubbish. I loved the terror of darkshore cutscene. I thought that was awesome. But then, nothing. They played no part at all in darkshore after that. It’s absolute nonsense. Like narratively speaking, where the hell are Tyrande and Malfurion at the moment? They went through all that fuss with making Malf look like a badass and giving Tyrande a hardcore makeover, suggesting them getting back to the more “savage” type of night elf they were supposed to be in WC3, all to have them just drop off the face of the earth! It’s not just them hating Tyrande. They seem to just hate night elves.

Maiev should be leader of the Night elves. Story should start upfront with banishing night elf mages again. Then becoming belligerently xenophobic and violent. This is how night elves should be.

The only reason this was a thing was because they didn’t want to attract the Legion again. Sargeras is currently imprisoned and their stronghold on Argus was successfully taken over by Azeroth and the Army of Light. Banning mages at this point would be literally pointless.

Doesn’t mean the populace is still okay with them. If accountants summoned an alien god to ravage my country I wouldn’t welcome them back with open arms after the problem is solved

Banishing all accountants from their lands and outlawing the accountant profession for 10000 years was overkill.

Sereiouly though I do feel bad for you Night Elf players. Finally something to fight over ANNNDDDD it’s gone. )= May you finally get your awesome WC3 Night Elves back.

you guys are being overly optimistic about night elves. they’re depicted as too passive and open in WoW. they should return to their roots. being logical about allowing ne mages isn’t the point im making

nah they should start with slaughtering horde sum invading their lands. but we didn’t get that with the end of mop so its accepted that the the devs will bend over backwars for horde snowflakes :disappointed_relieved:

She’s not actually possessed by Elune. It’s something far more sinister.

She’s hotheaded and impulsive, which might make sense for a new leader but not an ancient 10k+ yr old leader.
She abandoned her people to Sylvanas to save her loved one yet has the arrogance to lash out at Anduin in the middle of the war.
She’s going to flip flop again and forgive or at least be benevolent to the Horde by expansion’s end.
She’s a Jaina-tier inconsistent character and she’s been sacrificing her own people for a charred, wartorn piece of Darkshore.
Maiev or Shandris are better racial leaders than her.

I hate Tyrande because she is an inconsistent character.

You don’t give the reigns to a writer to develop three freakin novels of lore for the character to change your mind.

She used to be kind. I can understand being bitter to the horde that’s character development. But she now is just a jerk to the alliance as well. Zero kindness.

Sorry, they ran of of time to continue the NE story. We needed to see farmer Thrall and Saurfang kill some Undead rogues. Or Sylvanas tell Nathanos its all part of the the plan.

It would be SO awesome if the Alliance actually got ANY story development. Horde get multiple stories. Allianace gets powerups instead of stories that really dont powerup the characters.

The central focal points for the War Campaign at this point have either been on EK, or in the seas (with Kul Tiras and Zandalar). The chief exception of this is Tyrande’s opening up of the Darkshore front (but far before the Alliance was ready to commit to that zone, halfway across the world and already stretched thin). However, most of the conflict on EK is pretty much complete … and the fleets of the Zandalari and Kul Tirans are now decimated; so I can only imagine the focus will center more to the west (and to Kalimdor) going forward. That really is the only direction for the War Story element of BfA to go (and Tyrande’s TOTAL absence in 8.2 suggests that she is being saved for a bigger role in 8.2.5 or likely 8.3; with Blizz’s history of how they use characters).

If there was race in all of fantasy that proves that Age does NOT necessarily equal Wisdom it would be Warcraft Elves (and not just the NEs, but ALL of the sub-species). Highborne, High Elves, Blood Elves. Nightborne, Naga … all the same on this front. The NEs are not magically immune to this.
