No, they should have been options for regular gnomes. I think they were a complete waste of space.

People hate Elves because they are everywhere: there are 4 types of playable elves in this game. But not sure why people would hates Draenei, they are one of the most unique race in the game.

The limbs are taking some getting used to, but doesn’t everyone have to relearn everything when all four get replaced?

I’m actually quite useful.
I don’t need a cooking fire, anvil or smelter to make stuff. And this awesome pinky finger can work magic with locks.

Appearance and sounds has been what i’ve gathered.
To be fair, this race is better than giving the alliance Skinny Kul’tirans or Wildhammer Dwarves.
Even though I didn’t bring up either, I disagree with this.
Wildhammer is part of the Council of the Three Hammers and we can play the other two members, they do physically look different if Blizzard put some effort into it, and they’re one of the oldest allies of the Alliance. They would have made 10x more sense.
p.s. Blizzard could have used the lore in the RPG about Wildhammer sending members to the nelves to be Druids. Even though the RPGs are not cannon, the devs have said they do use stuff from it.

Don’t worry, it was something I hear enough from the community and wasn’t something I was bringing onto you.
It would repeat the trouble with the Mechagnomes being considered a cosmetic choice even worse concerning Dark Iron Dwarves were already far different and taking up space for another race to have a turn on allied races-- the community could even insist on requesting Mechagnomes. At least that’s what I can find with the Monkey’s palm effect.
Well dunno about hate but I wouldn’t call Tieflings Draenei the most unique just because there are way way way way too many flavors of elf.

Gnomes taste good with BBQ. So, I do not hate them. Great source of food. For that matter so does Tauren and soy sauce.
