This isn’t a bait question, I actually want some opinions!
Why do you think you should be fully geared one month into xpac when you play for 30 minutes a day?
Personally I think the game should give you a 200 ilvl piece of gear just for a daily log-in bonus 
That way people can’t use time played metrics as an excuse!
I don’t think most people are arguing for being fully geared, but when you run 5 heroics and consecutively get literally nothing it feels awful.
No one has ever said they want to be fully geared one month into the expansion.
That’s what confused me. Even in other expansions you get 10 shots per loot on raid bosses total.
Now they slow down M+ because you could get guaranteed piece of loot every 20-30 minutes to make raids meaningful content and people complain?

When I did all the mythic 0s on my hunter with my friends I got seven pieces of loot. Two of them got one piece.
That’s a problem. It’s not about being fully geared it’s about spending a lot of time to get nothing; it’s unacceptable and insulting.
Because when you take something away from me, I am justifiably angry.
It is not entitlement to say: “Bruh, you just made my life worse for, literally, no good reason.”
I think there’s a fine line to balance. Item level has become so important to getting into groups now. It becomes very difficult for people who can’t play as much to gear up.
The first week of the raid I ran 17 mythic pluses killed 1 world boss and downed 6 bosses in the raid on normal for 2 piece of loot. It was discouraging seeing myself fall behind in gear from bad luck. And I feel I played quite a bit. I could only imagine someone who had less time.
I do like the improvement to the mythic chest system. It gives the people who play more. More options at chosing the right piece for them. But doesn’t exactly catapult them ahead in gear.
You should be rewarded more for playing more. That make sense. But there is likely a happy medium of content scaling compared to ilvl being handed out at certain rates. I think everyone wants to progress. It’s gonna take some time to reevaluate how the average progression will happen now.
That’s like 24 rolls of 20% chance of loot and another 8 rolls of 40%. They must be -really- unlucky.
Yes, they were. Now they pvp since they can get gear consistently from it.
This is likely the case for people now you’re right. Consisten choice of gear and knowing how and when you’re getting it is a very attractive option
You do realize that getting a piece of gear does not automatically mean upgrade, right?
Rubbish, it’s how the game has always worked. I have gone over 50 boss kills in raids before without one loot drop.
People whinging about not getting loot from 5 dungeon runs , very sad
What people are pissed at is spending 15 hours a week killing instanced bosses and in the end you have no loot and are still the same ilevel as the prev reset
In my little opinion if you do content you should have a good chance to get loot. I think they dialed it back too much this expansion.

You have the same chance as everyone else, as it should be. Some people are lucky at first but over a year or so it will even out for most. A few weeks is way to short a timeframe for even RNG

And you clearly don’t understand the complaints OP.
No one I’ve read complaining comes off ‘entitled’.
It’s just quite a few have horrible luck with how things are and can go on many many boss kills and other content without getting anything.
That doesn’t really sound entitled, just sounds like a demotivating way of killing of peoples hype/interest to continue.
I’ve already seen lots on the interwebs, twitter, in game, say they have stopped really bothering with the content outside the one run for the weekly. Participation I say will drop if they don’t at least nudge it in a better compromise.
And I got the trinket I was after from the dragon soul raid two weeks before the new expansion dropped. That’s well over a year of kills without it dropping for me . That’s life, that’s how the game works
