My skill level doesn’t invalidate the argument.
You’re letting somebody who killed you get to you, even if their not that great a PvPer. Don’t you think a good PvPer would just power though that and just learn how to tackle the situations later better and come out on top of it?
I’m terrible at PvP and even i know this.
You’re*
Also, read the whole thread of comments backing up my claims.
Also , if you want to see, I’ll link you some VODs of dampening+tank trinkets in arenas from the past couple of blizzcons if you like
Lastly, thanks for the bump,dragonslayer
Think of it as an alternative variable. Gear always mattered, regardless of where you got it from. It’s been that way for ages. Go back to Wrath, claim it was for PvP purists with their PvP-only gear, then cringe when you see all the Shadowmournes, Deathbringer’s Wills, etc.
Go forward a bit to Cata… Cunning of the Cruel, Dragonwrath, and the rogue daggers.
MoP? Five words: Unerring Vision of Lei Shen. Also the Multistrike trinket from Immerseus.
WoD? Legendary ring, Soul Capacitor, all of the Archimonde Trinkets.
I think during Legion they straight up disabled everything and was just, “We’re gonna use templates guiz” which was all about average item level boosting your template a meager amount, then all the PvE players didn’t participate because they were handed cookie-cutter nothings and the only reason to even attempt to play was to push for rating… And you have to really like PvP if you’re going to do it only for rating.
Back in “Ye Olden Times” part of it was still gear-based. You picked the lowest-geared target and humiliate them incessantly. How could you tell? Transmog didn’t exist, so you could get free kills on the undergeared peeps to remove them from the equation entirely before dealing with the things that could threaten you but required more time to deal with.
Generally if someone does something stupid, but it works, is it still stupid? Kind of one of those, “He used his ult just to kill me, what a noob” trains of thought in MoBA/Overwatch/etc style games when one person is alive, and the other is not where they get so caught up in the micro game they forget about the rest.
If someone vastly outgears you, it’s one of those situations where you should be more liberal in cooldown usage to escape and survive. If it is Arena, and you’re playing something like a Boomkin, you probably could kite better if a DK of all things is giving you trouble. Either that, or you need a better healer.
Claims supported by actual evidence?
That’ll be nice then.
Still calling us Dragonslayers.
Mate, your like complimenting us. No thanks are necessary.
I would not do it now.
Back in BC, on my Hunter, I got “Last Season’s Arena Set” (season one, for regular battleground honor.) As I got each piece, I felt more and more powerful for PVP; Eventually, i could go one on one with any class and have a chance (mage, rogue, things that destroyed me before.)
Then I did the same on this character, in MoP, with whichever season arena set was regular battleground honor then.
Without PVP gear you can get, specifically for PVP defense, I don’t see the point in PVP.

He’s a multiglad rSham on his rDruid. IF you can’t keep up, that’s your own fault because PvP is a much faster game. I’d suggest you learn other classes and git gud.
oh and if you’d rather read, here you go:
This is just a really bad way to try to get a message heard, we all agree the current pvp gearing sytem is an absolute disaster but asking for vendors this way will not get you any sympathy.
I don’t care about optics.
I’m not aiming for sympathy. I’m aiming for reactions and discussion.
The former is garnering the latter.
You’re not going to get any kind of constructive discussion by calling people bads and throwing tantrums though, if anything you just draw negative attention to the vendor problem and give those conspicuous pve trolls lots of ammo.
Calling people bads…hmmm
Well, you see
They are bad for doing so. They can git gud. and not be bads. I call it as it is. Can’t handle ? tough. 2k+ is tough.
Tantrum ?
No. That I’ve yet to do. Try again ?
Hmm, looks like a troll account lol, nothing to see here move on folks.
Thank you. I actually hoping you would post more then a streamer video.
Only one problem with the links you gave me, the video is from April 15, 2019, and the WoWhead “Arena World Championship Fall Cups” was posted in September 9, 2018 especially. In 8.1.5 and 8.0 respectively. Today is January 2, 2020 and we are in 8.2.5. So i don’t know how these trinkets in question are right now since all that time has passed.
I’m just not interested in what’s “Meta” or this or that or other competitive e-sporty kind of stuff (including PvE ones), let alone PvP. So Mea Culpa.
I kinda feel bad posting in this topic after looking at the ops profile. Like I thought he was legit, but he’s an honor level 5 with 0 arena stats. I’ve got more pvp experience in this expansion than that and I don’t pvp. He should have led with the git gud statements so that I could have just responded with obvious troll is obvious.
Can you stay on the topic instead of talk about profiles ? or do you concede that you have no argument ?
Watched it… Very high skill team versus very high skill team. Both teams had PvE gear, only thing that seems to draw the ire is that DPS were using healer trinkets. Which is to think, if the DH had DPS trinkets, would he have gotten a kill on that mage? Hmm.
Could always imagine the game requiring skill.
The same issues are still just as pervasive.
I’ve provided several posts providing my argument, and my new one is that they were a waste of my time because you just invalidated your own.
I’ve never went to your profile and said “hurp durp troll cuz achieves”
I’d hate to have you on a debate team.
I stated from the get go that I don’t pvp more than casually. And I have more pvp achievements and credibility than you. So please. Let’s compare.
