I don’t really think I’d care or notice if PvP died, to be honest. It doesn’t really affect me.
they only had to do 3 BGs…that were unrated, that’s the sad part.
That doesn’t really change what I said though. You not caring because it doesn’t affect you is fine. I’m not asking you to care. I’m just pointing out hypocrisy.
Didn’t say I agreed with the MoP era belly aching. It was only 3 BGs.
Then you’re the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, too, and all other imaginary creatures!
Nobody is arguing with you. Our anyone else really. People in this thread are just getting overly defensive. Which is pretty funny considering the context.
Nobody wants to pvp for some of the bis essences in pve. Nobody wants to pve for some of the bis items in pvp. We all agree. I’d say as long as the 370 crafted gear has pvp stats on it well enough to not be completely preyed upon by people in low mmr like it has in previous expansions I would be on board.
I know. Like I said I’m pointing out the hypocrisy of the situation. Because when it was only 3 BGs there was plenty of belly aching from the PvE players. Now that the roles are reverse it’s fine?
I know. I don’t think I’m being combative unless someone is making blatant comments that aren’t lining up to the past. At the end of the day what I’m fighting for is for gear from the content it comes from to stay in its lane. Having crossovers like this has only been frustrating to a lot of people.
You didn’t have to “do them” you had to win. And Alliance was having a hellacious time getting those wins. GD was full of threads about it.
That, and the Censor of Ordos from Timeless Isle, are probably two of the reasons Resilience was removed.

I know. Like I said I’m pointing out the hypocrisy of the situation. Because when it was only 3 BGs there was plenty of belly aching from the PvE players. Now that the roles are reverse it’s fine?
There was the same amount of belly aching from the PvPers about having to do lfrs and every other aspect of that quest line because they didn’t think they should participate in any open world quest and such so using that instance in where pvers complained not the best example.
Actually it is. Because it boils down to the fact that nobody likes being forced into content they don’t want to do. Nor anyone should have to to feel like they have a chance. Right now that’s where PvP is.
At least I make it look good.
I joke, lol
I agree. If I put all my time into one area of the game and mastering it, I should NOT be a master at something I haven’t spent the time on or earned (fear my 96 rating! Roar. And things.).
I have no problem with incentives to make people to do all content. There just gets a point where it’s pushed to an extreme and I think that’s where we’re at. I like to pvp in small doses, but I do like to pvp. At the rate i pvp though I’ll get rank 3 of blood of the enemy in about 3 years as I only do about 20 arena games a month and don’t touch random bgs. That’s gotten me to completely shelf my shadow priest this expansion.
This will make you feel better and shut those who disagree with ya. Which head developer had more subscribers during their run? GhostCrawler still carried resilience even though in MoP pvp power was introduced. In WoD Ion took over and wasn’t that the expansion pvp resilience was removed?
From my understanding when resilience came to the game and also under GhostCrawler’s run. There was still a lot of players though it was dwindling down, but not too fast. Ion took over and removed resilience and look how much subscribers left the game are a fast pace especially after WoD and also Legion. I guess it goes to show players did love pvp and resilience meaning not too much players who favor pve especially in this era.

Ion
Can’t stand Ion Hazzikostas honestly. I hate the direction he’s taken the game. I’d rather someone like Mark Kern come in and help direct the game to actually be fun.
Well this is an odd post if i ever seen one. Your calling PvEr’s Dragonslayers?
Buddy… you know what Dragons are right? they aren’t some bored people, itching for a fight, it’s 40 ft winged lizards that breath fire/ice/eletric etc and has scales so tough that it makes the epic Death Knight armor look like a joke in comparison.

You guys are terrible in pvp
…Yet they killed you.

…Yet they killed you.
Oh , bless your heart. I’ll explain it to you since you refuse to read the comments in the thread.
Right now because PvE Gear > Skill right now ( and PvE Gear > PvP Gear +Skill) , so my complaint is that I want PvP gear to be on equal or better footing to fight other players with.
PvP gear should always be better for PvP.
Raid/dungeon gear should always be better for PvE.
I should be able to stomp on some dragonslayer that comes into PvP.
A Dragonslayer should be able to out damage me on a damage meter in PvE content.
What part of this are you not getting…i mean, maybe you can’t grasp complex concepts, but hey…we’re not all blessed to be able to.
I’m not sure if they will let Mark Kern come back especially knowing the condition of Blizzard not too many satisfied employees there. It’s a dream come true that turns into a nightmare afterwards. Overall I do want this company to heal and produce a lot of creative stuff they usually do making it fun than toxic grind.

Yet they killed you.
Well considering they took out resilience which was the factor of separating pve and pvp. In these recent expansions that’s no longer the case. In fact this is a pve player dreamworld not no longer grinding for pvp gear with resilience. They can just go in and blow up everyone. I can understand OP considering how the game was before and how dirty toilet seat it became.

Oh , bless your heart.
Don’t need to, i’m the dragonslayer. I got my own Jar of Dragon Hearts to bless…

What part of this are you not getting…
What part are you not getting that by your own words, a dragonslayer should be stronger then a gladiator?
I understand your plight here, removing the post that i made was more or less poking fun of your usage of dragonslayers, i just don’t sympathize with you in all honestly. Infact, i never understood why PvP and PvE in terms of gear should be separate. Maybe that’s just me talking on my own experience on PvP (which is really god awful, i’l freely admit that).

…maybe you can’t grasp complex concepts, but hey…we’re not all blessed to be able to.
Really isn’t that complex to begin with.
Though i suppose i can thank you for telling me to read the comments, cause Gelato has made a fair point to your OP.

You could’ve worded your entire post to be a very fair argument as people have an easier time getting high ilevel gear through PvE which stomps pvp, but instead you choose to sound like a child.

Well considering they took out resilience which was the factor of separating pve and pvp. In these recent expansions that’s no longer the case. In fact this is a pve player dreamworld not no longer grinding for pvp gear with resilience. They can just go in and blow up everyone.
To be fair, while i prefered this kind of PvP, even though i’m mostly a PvEr, i will say that i’m not blind to the problems that comes with this kind of PvP, especially the scaling issues where people at level 110 can pretty much destroy level 120’s, but i digress.
I don’t think you’re as good in pvp as you think you are.
