Then you take the time to get what you need. It’s simple. I know you don’t want to have to take the time - forget the word “work” - to bring your alts up to ~Main equivalent from an essence perspective. It’s not at all hard to understand your point. I simply don’t agree with it.
You stating they are different isn’t fact. You’re starting off asserting an opinion as fact and using that as being a valid reason to be in favor of account wide essences.
Essences are just power creep in this expansion and game by accomplishing various content in this game. Just like gear and every other power group. Do stuff to get BiS stuff.
Why would I want to play under my potential, why would I want to not try to be competitive? why can’t i be competitive on 5-10 characters? why can’t i help other people with my alts when my main is already saved to content and can’t progress further? I’m not limiting myself and the game shouldn’t limit me to try and reach high level of rewards and competition.
I don’t want to take 2 months to get an alt into M+. So I won’t play alts. So I will be breaking from WoW soon as I hit my M15 target in all 12 dungeons… and I think that’s bad for Bliz.
Legion, WoD and MoP did not have this problem. The playerbase has sounded the alarm, Bliz is not listening, but Bliz will suffer in the end. That’s just the bottom line right there.
I am not going to be forced into un-fun content - for an extended ridiculously long time that is not lessened by skill - to get to fun content and when all is said and done, if I happen to find something more interesting than WoW in my upcoming break, I won’t be back. I once took off 4 years from WoW, so yeah, it happens.
I wish Mass Effect 5 was coming, miss that game!
SADLY FOR BLIZ - I have an itch to try out unholy dk after running with that 115k dps guy… but no, not gonna play for 2 months before I can even really start learning the spec in competitive M+.
If what I’m saying is an opinion, then yours has to be as well, no? Otherwise, I’d just be wrong.
And they are not the same thing. Go read my other posts. I’m sure I’ve said the answer in one of them. I’m too tired and done with ridiculous and outlandish statements to bother responding properly.
Yes, no issue, put me down to 420 ilvl and give me rank 3 essence so I can start grinding dungeons and raids instead and finally be done with dailies and quests.
Why did I have to do rated arenas to get one of my BiS raiding essences? Why did I have to do mythic + to get one of my BiS essences for certain raid fights.
It’s almost like Blizzard has you doing many different parts of their content to get many different rewards…
You don’t get new essences, you can get essences before starting your gearing process or after or during. But they’re passive, they’re there and you move on and that’s it. It’s like talents. You aren’t always improving your essences with drops like you do with gear.
Rated Arena is meant to be repetitive. M+ is meant to be repetitive.
Is mechagon reputation meant to be an engaging repetitive multi-week fun bag? /shrug
I have a new idea for bliz! Lets put a big red button up and say you have to click it 500 times a day, but it has a 45 second cooldown, and then you have to do it for 12 weeks in a row, then you are allowed to run a single horrific vision - but that’s required for your progression.
It’s a propaganda campaign. The best talking point they have is “your alt shouldn’t be as powerful as your main”, which is just another way of stating their earlier failed talking point, “If you don’t work 20 times as much as me you’re lazy.”
They have to completely ignore the reality of how and why people play alts, but that’s not hard to do if you’ve never really played the game yourself, and you think you’re doing god’s work.
Really? Pretty sure my helm is BiS or one of the BiS iterations for DH havoc. Looks like I’m done working on my helmet. But ok said there’s no stopping point I’d there?
