It seems like beta access is having an “I only want it because you’re telling me I can’t have it” effect.
You guys realize this isn’t early access or anything like that, right? I heard someone ask if progress in beta would be “carried over” when the game launches. Like, no, that’s not what alpha/beta testing is. You help them test, and then everything you do gets wiped. IMO it’s a complete waste of time from a player perspective, and I have no idea why so many people are even remotely interested.

Because people are hungry. If you didn’t play on a private server, you haven’t been able to play this for 13 years.

I’d be interested from an interface, addon, and computer usage perspective.
I know my pc can run wow but can it run it at max new settings at 144 FPS? I like testing my computers limits and over locking my cpu so that’s the stuff I’d like to see.
Also want to test addons, not sure if those are allowed in the beta.
So much salt about this. It’s not early access, it’s a beta. I see this every time on the forums, a beta comes out and people take it as a personal insult they was not invited. In a few months, none of it will matter

Because I want it! It’s mine! Gimmie gimmie! Me me me! I deserve it!

I opted in at first just out of pure gut emotional reaction.
Then I was like “Wait a minute…I remember so little about how I played the game back then. I played an arms warrior and mashed buttons because I had next to no idea what I was doing. I didn’t actually L2P until I rolled this guy when TBC launched. What the hell use could this possibly be other than a free preview?”
So I unchecked both boxes.

Can’t test/develop addons if you can’t connect.

After a decade im unsure of the details on how classes play and I would like to demo a few to pick my first.
In all honesty, I have always known what I want to play, so I need not decide. I really want to test it, to break and quality assure everything I can, before it launches. I want Classic’s resurgence to be the best it can be. It and burning crusade are the versions of WoW that I love the most, and as a result I am personally vested in the success of Classic, and the potential of getting Burning Crusade down the road as well.
Post Script I don’t feel that I deserve it more than anyone else either. I just feel I would be a good choice for testing in general, since my goal is to actually test fully and ensure it’s success.

Yeah, I mean, that’s not what a beta is for. It’s not for you to play around, it’s solely meant for Blizzard’s benefit.

I’d like to test out different things. It looks like a lot of the testers aren’t playing the game the way new and returning players will play the game.
Like they are solo pushing. But a lot of players will group up and work their way thru zones and professions. A lot could be learned of bugs by having people like me who’d be duo-ing or trio-ing to level 30 rather than soloing.
Later once the solo pushers are at max level they’ll test stuff sure, but there’s stuff that’ll be missed with just them.

I only care because I’d actually report the bugs I saw a few streamers just ignore… a beta is supposed to help the game, not yourself or your views…

Because people want to play a superior version of WoW that isnt so conviluded with years worth of bad decisions that is now focused on data collecting and not what its meant to be.
A game that was created by players for players.
I loved Vanilla so much, and had a lot of fun on the demo. If I can reexperience that sooner rather than later, I will be so happy!
Also, Classic is something I have been waiting on for a LONG time - and to be honest, it’s a bloody big deal that the Vanilla community won, and persisted to get Blizzard to recreate Vanilla. If I can have any hand in helping ensure it is right, even if I can spot 1 bug and help it get fixed, there is a sense of pride in that.
I want as many people as possible to experience how good Vanilla actually was in all its glory.
i would play for like 30 minutes … an hour tops.
just one thing i want to look at.

Why you would want to sink hours and hours into playing a beta where 100% of what you do will be completely deleted before the official launch? Like, what are you going to be able to do in the beta that would make it worth the time investment?
I honestly love beta testing, taking my time and messing with every little item, spell, quest, mob interaction, ect. I love finding small bugs. And when the game finally is released I feel like I have played an important part in making it a better game.

I don’t mind testing and want to ensure as few bugs as possible. I got a lot of free time to hang around and do stupid stuff in game with. Guess we will see once we can all hit that stress test coming up soon.
