Why do wow players always assume the worst in blizzard

Im serious why do the players assume the worst in blizzard? like why?

Blizzard is a company responsible for creating world of warcraft, probably the best mmo to ever be made, but when i see people giving criticism to wow they usually insult the company as well and assume blizzard is making the game bad on purpose.

Here’s a example - back when torghast was released, since you needed to make a legendary to be competitive and since people were forced to do it they hated it, while people brought blizzard good criticism to blizzard (which is good) people were also crapping and just disrespecting blizzard about torghast saying stuff like “The developers are brain dead and can’t make a good game. Torghast is only in the game to increase engagement numbers and don’t care about your fun they just want your sub” when 1- there is no proof of that. 2- that makes no sense as if a game was unfun then they would lose subs and therefore money, the developers gain nothing from making the game unfun. 3- while your criticsim was good, your conclusion was awful and disrespectful.

When people complain about blizzard not listening to the playbase i usually see a insult to them in the same sentence. People usually say “Blizzard is stubborn and dumb or whaa” but did you ever consider you’re just a rude *ss and thats why they’re not listening to you? developers are not gonna listen to feedback if you’re disrespecting them as they don’t get paid enough to do that, if you want your voice to be heard be as respectful as possible or they’ll just ignore you.

I think in general people take wows good gameplay for granted as it’s probably one of the best games to ever be developed, while the game is not perfect and criticism is needed, insulting the developers and assuming the worst will not aid in making the game better and might even cause it to be worst. Please remember to be as respectful as possible because blizzard has every right to ignore the rude *ssholes in this community.

Tldr - Developers don’t listen to rude *ss so be respectful when giving criticism.

People complain because it’s in their nature

If you throw yourself on the floor and spend hours and days long enough, someone will eventually give you pity

To be fair, their track record gives valid reason to assume the worst. Poor story over the last two expansions, major controversy, crappy microtransaction applications…

I feel like everyone playing DF is like “Man this is good… but…” We’re all bracing ourselves for common practices Blizzard is known for not only in WoW but all of their franchises.

Actiblizz is a corporation and corporations are bad.

Sometimes the product they make is good, sometimes it’s bad. Lately it’s been pretty bad.

It’s not so complicated.

Torghast 2 inc. except this time the legendary requires max crafting and is BoP.

That is fair as Blizzards track record is awful (wod, shadowlands, and bfa being prime examples) but i still think respecting the developers is better as it’s a good way to get your voice heard, i don’t think anyone wants to listen to rude *ssholes in the hopes of good criticism.

People have every right to criticize, just like people have every right to love.

i never said people didn’t have the right to criticize, my issue is that they insult the company in the same breath.

History of drunken cube crawls will do that.

I’m all about respect. But to be fair, they also had a poor track record in respecting their players.

For example, I use this often as an example, in SL, the very first quest you do to start Shadowlands is a painstaking waste of time placing the pieces of Helm of Domination. Why? Why make quests like that at all? Pathfinding is another egregious time waster.

Respect is a two way street. We’re seeing them do better in DF and I like a lot of what’s happening, but again, I am one of those ones who is just waiting for some moronic move.

I’d like to also add, I am hoping DF is the sign of a ‘turning the corner/page/etc…etc…’. I want it to be because WoW is such a great universe.

I don’t. I assume the worst when I see the patterns being repeated.

any monkey could have told you they released the game too soon. They did. I think it worked out better than a lot of thought… But it was still shaky.

They put too much focus on esports. You can tell. They don’t fix anything until after it’s over.

One of the most positive things I can say is that they have kept us from paying more. Love or hate the wow token, it has blocked inflation and economic downturns from being passed on to us. They try. They have a certain vision and they stick to it but they try

Recently, the lawsuit.

Kinda hard to regain trust in them after that.

I too hope blizzard doesn’t make a moronic move, luckly they’ve getting alot of feedback and so far df has been looking good (9.1 looks great) and so im not too worried. I honestly believe Df will known as one of the greatest expanisons and will be the modern wrath & legion.

because we are mostly right…
it never feels like there is a commitment, an affection towards the game, from even the simple and small things that would make the game more fun.
Like that love for the game, something to make the players really feel like their game is appreciated.
They only ever spend their time on the essential and avoid all expenses as they can.
so yeah, i do think they are lazy and greedy

(for some reason my message didn’t include this part so im retyping it here)
I get what you’re trying to say but that quest is a horrible example, at worst it’s a minor annoyance and was probably made that way to give bolvar enough time to say his dialouge. Pathfinder achievements were made irrelevent during shadowlands (tho they could’ve done that sooner) and even replaced it with a more fun system known as dragon riding which is nice. (I’m allonsas, switched chars to make replying to you easier, sorry for confusion.)
