Why do we not have Joyous Journeys again?

Blizzard can do the bare minimum and add back Joyous Journeys they took away and likely forgot to add back in.

I would say that the “bare minimum” would be keeping the servers on. Maybe they will add JJ back in toward the end of DS. Then again, they have lvl 80 boosts available so adding JJ back would reduce the potential profits from that service.

Bare minimum is a working game, which they appear to struggle on constantly.

No bugs in the cash shop tho!

I’d really like to jump back in and start prepping characters for Mists, was surprised to see the buff is not active.

You’ve got a lot of time before MoP comes out

I mean sure, but it doesn’t change the fact that most won’t choose to level now when they could just wait and do it in less time later.

You do know a full set of heirloom gear will give you around a 50% increase in XP . All the 10% on gear stacks . I would have to look but think mite even be over 50% buff to XP .

Not that I care at all personally what they add or remove from Cata Classic at this point, but what difference does it really make if you have Joyous Journeys or not? Are you “struggling” to level in time?

I mean sure, if you want an experience boost, cool, but it’s already pretty easy and fast to level isn’t it?

Didn’t realize a survey went out. Maybe “most” people should reassess why they play the game if they hate playing it so much?

Bump for Joyous Journeys. Leveling alts will increase player engagement for no downside.

Most people don’t enjoy leveling. They enjoy raiding and pvp. Those who do enjoy leveling only play during fresh and then quit soon after… and it isn’t the leveling they actually enjoy.

They say that, boost to get there, don’t read or practice their abilities because they boosted, and then fail at both because they never played their character before the endgame.

It’s called endgame for a reason. Rushing to get there shortens and trivializes the whole point of an RPG. Seems counterproductive to skip to the end of a game just so you can burn out faster doing 1-2 activities on repeat. Maybe pick another game you enjoy?

Yeah, I don’t do that. I was just saying that this was the case (Actually leveling 3-5 characters right now… and 16 to level before we get MoP prepatch which would add more).

That said. Unfortunately if everyone that enjoyed only a specific part of WoW were to quit. WoW as a game would not exist anymore. These aren’t the days of old where people who don’t even play games play WoW because that is what everyone else was doing so why not.

Some people only like to collect, others only like pet battles, some only like the chaos that is a fresh launch, others only hope in ever patch for the story content then leave.

Ultimately you have to member this is an MMORPG. The expectation is that not everyone is doing everything and that there are a lot of separate groups of people doing entirely separate things akin to an actual world. Of course WoW fails in that regard nowadays due to not having the dominance it once had… and not really supporting anything outside of the two primary end game activities (I suppose in retail it is three now… which I also believe they are trying to rectify with delves, the profession revamp, and housing in the future).

we’ll get Joyous Journeys again once they announce the Hour of Twilight patch for next phase, idk why people assumed it would stay up through the Firelands patch since this is how its been done ever since it was first added.

it gets added in on patch announcement, it leaves when the patch launches, then gets added back once a new patch is announced and leaves again once it drops.

jj on classic always been weird, its the fact it overstays its welcome bc blizz forgets
and players think its a perm boost at times so when its gone randomly theyre confused lol.
