Mythic dungeon Andys can just run dungeons.
Raiders can just raid.
Why do we need to do content we don’t want to do to get to the stuff we actually want to run? Its not usually a big deal on my main but it keeps me from wanting to play with alts when I remember I need to do chores for keys.
Raids have a lockout, so there’s that. Since delves only drop champion gear I don’t see too much of a reason there should be keys either, except that blizz doesn’t want you to be able to spam solo content and gear out without any kind of time restriction.
so you do the world content. it’s about doing more content and participating in stuff. (staying logged in longer) this is why valorstones still exist and suck and this is why a lot of things suck.
It’d be much better to just limit a character to opening 4 chests a week instead of making you farm keys.
Unless you’re happy with questing gear, yes, you do need keys to start building up at the start of a season. Until you fill up on champion gear and only need hero, you need keys.
Raids got lockouts, mythic plus requires at least 1 person have the correct keystone, delves have keys and maps.
Id say raids the most limitied since you literally get nothing for repeat kills the same week, delves still drops adventure gear and you can get extra kehs from world soul events/carry them over if you miss a week.
Mythic plus is definitly the best for early raw gear farms but changes your own keystone as you push so if youre targeting an item your at the will of blizzard rng or pugs acceptance.
They could just switch it to lockout but that would throw off the catchup mechanic keys kinda have where you can get them keys one week and use 20+ of them as the 4 bountifuls rotate the next.
Blizzard gives us casual or solo players the best gearing we’ve ever had, like amazingly so, and you’re still mad because it requires a few extra small steps.
Because of money, the devs won’t say it but it’s true. Also raiders can’t raid, one time per difficulty per week… because of money. In normal games you can do anything you want whenever without the devs imposing time restrictions. So the only answer is moneyyyyyyy.
I suppose they could at least double the difficulty, triple the length, and give a 40% chance of receiving a piece of loot if they remove the coffee keys in delves to keep it fair compared to how rewarding m+ is.
It’s only fair that similar diffuclties and time investment yields the same rewards.
as a “casual player,” who has done a lot of season 1 delves and now again in season 2 I have to admit this is so true and such a fair point.
I just did an 11 on some random alt that has barely any gear and it wasn’t too slow or difficult, meanwhile if that same character even tried to do M+ I doubt anyone would accept me. And the level of key required to get the same loot as a tier 11 bountiful would require way way way way more coordination and expertise.
