Does blizzard really think its a exciting experience at this point in the expansion to upgrade honor gear for 2 weeks and constantly get 1 shot?
Even when your done upgrading your honor gear you still suck! There’s not much of a power gain …
Just have honor gear be one a done and let us upgrade conquest gear.
Take off the bridbox blindfold open your eyes and let us have fun…
the system isnt made for the faint hearted. its made for the try hards. its there to reward players who push past the pain. this reward is in the form of being able to decimate lower geared players.
its not designed for fun in mind. its designed for reward in mind. this is blizzards largest flaw. they put grind systems in place with rewards at the end. the process of getting there isnt whats important, its the fact you push through and get there. you are supposed to feel the satisfaction after working through the mundane/pain to reach your goal.
not to say there shouldnt be grinds in the game, but when it comes to pvp, the gameplay and content should be fun first. the grind should be for the rating, and the transmogs, imo.
plus, im sure they are super happy with the wow tokens being purchased so players can buy boosts to bypass the one shot grind.
lets face it, this game is dying and it will continue to die unless the devs are replaced. at the least, the head devs. their vision for the game just doesnt sit well with the masses. you can see that with the mass exodus within shadowlands.
i mean, it could be the lack of content. im sure thats what they believe. it could be true.

I like the honor gear upgrade idea in general, and it could work if there were no conquest ranks. Honor gear wouldn’t clash with conquest gear and 7/7 honor items and conquest items would be equivalent. RBG players would get massive gearing shortcut, because RBGs give massive amounts of honor and conquest at the same time.
The gap between 1/7 honor gear and conquest set wouldn’t be as huge as well
Have fun. Blizz has to have the worst dev’s in any game company. They see the feedback and ignore it. Having fun is against what they want. All they want is grind,grind,grind. You can thank ION for that. This game has gone downhill ever since he took over.
Would be nice to see some real dev’s work on the game.
I don’t think they appreciated how inefficient it is. Gated behind renown initially, too.
Remove having to do rated BG’s in order to upgrade conquest gear is the first thing they NEED to do!

Galassin is exactly right. Grinding to upgrade honor gear is one of the many barriers designed to keep casuals and alts at a farmable power level as long as possible.
Queueing for a random BG should be one of the most casual things you can do in the game but the devs and a lot of the pvp player base want you to have spend hours doing other content in order to not be dead weight. The devs think this is good because it means more hours played per character and more token sales. The neckbeards love it because it means a steady supply of jobbers to dunk on.
Simple answer to everything they do these days = TIME GATING increases playtime metrics.
