Why do warlocks not have a baseline interrupt?

Why?

I guess it adds more utility to your choice of pet.

Being able to silence someone must be too much to handle for a class that can literally instill fear in someone.

The question is why does the Warlock interrupt cost DPS, compared to other classes.

I’d assume for the same reason that other classes can’t create summoning portals, soulstones, healthstones or demonic gateways: classes have different strengths and weaknesses. But don’t worry… you’re still well ahead of the curve when it comes to utility.

This is the real question

Not baseline. Tied to a pet.

Hunters don’t have to deal with this kind of garbage…

Bingo.

What other class in the game doesn’t have a baseline interrupt?

You can’t do everything. Just be thankful they didn’t take your iconic stuff and give it to a mage.

We already got stripped because of DHs…

That question is absurd. All interrupts cost DPS, because each time you press an interrupt you are not pressing a damaging ability.

Warlock interrupt is actually more convenient that most casters (except shamans with 12 sec cd, and shadow priests since they rely more in DoT and instant cast spells) because being tied to our minion means we can interrupt while casting our baseline abilities. All other classes need to stop their rotation to interrupt, therefore “losing DPS”. If you dont interrupt and that skill kills you, you lose way more DPS.

Obviously the real convenience of it depends on what you play, i’d say Affliction would probably need a baseline interrupt since a big part of its kit has instant cast time so they cant make much use of the advantage of the minion interrupt. But for Demo and specially Destro which loses quite a lot of DPS if we cant cast our abilities, being able to interrupt without stopping our damage rotation is very helpful.

Did you? I thought it was just Meta.

Warlocks can have a baseline interrupt when professions get a consumable summoning stone.

Same reason I don’t have a spammable ranged CC

Priests. But that wasn’t really my point. You shouldn’t complain because you don’t get all the toys, when you’ve already got a toybox full of other ones. And it’s not like you have absolutely no access to an interrupt — it’s just not baseline. Don’t be greedy.

I used to be told which pets to bring because different pet families provided different party buffs. Now different pet specializations have different abilities and I can’t even choose which specialization I want my pet to be because each family is locked to a specific tree. I don’t know who decided Spirit Beasts belong to the tanking specialization, but **** that guy.

Just don’t ask for one of the most important abilities to have in M+…gotcha.

I find this annoying myself doing world content solo. One of the reasons I don’t play my lock a lot.

Felhunter is not the pet I want to use, so, I guess thats an option but not a great one.

Hunters have things like bloodlust tied to certain pets. Marksman has to give up a lot more dps than you do to interrupt in order to use bloodlust for example

Why would you need an interrupt when you can simply one shot your opponent with Chaos Bolt??

Because I’m affliction?
