Aside from ‘Because Blizzard said so’ or the dartboard theory, did people really use toys as a grievance method just to annoy others? What actually is the reason if anyone knows why some toys are stupid on their usage to CD ratio?
I have a handful of toys that transmog ME into something else, I don’t spout flames and yell something every 2 minutes, yet they have an hour CD for bugger all usage.

Cause you could have too much fun.
I want to turn my raid into moonkins every time we wait for tanks. But no, 24h timer
So aside from fun detected…
bingo. this is why we can’t have nice things
It’s the only reason.
Blizzard doesn’t like toys.
I get this kind of behaviour, but at the same time we could have 20 players rotate through this in a raid night.
Or you know, they can just disable toys in instances.
Could still spam toys everywhere not just instances
Appearances toys like dark rangers good should last until we remove it with no cd
The only toy that should have at the very least 1 month cooldown is the one that turns you into one of these Uldum giants.
People spend hours wasting their time bothering people in the AH of SW with it sometimes.
Some toys that don’t bother anyone, especially the ones you use on yourself (like Death Door’s charm, the Ravens) should not have one.
I don’t even bother with them due to their absurdly short duration and stupid long cool downs. Well, only one I am using is the eternal hearthstone toy. I like that heart look. Pretty cool, and the cool down is the same as my hearth so…
I want Katy Stampwhistle to have no CD, but that would be broken.
Things like this make sense, also things like this don’t make sense:
Why, when it affects only me, should it be 1-2 hour CD for 5-30 minute usage?
I said it should stay on forever until you choice to take it off with no cd lol
There is no other justification.
Not while people are tanking heroic N’zoth in a Yeti transmog or flying around in Org on pink rockets and miniature ships that don’t float.
Certain death staring you in the face? Train set dance party is the answer.
But no transforming into the opposite faction for more than 5 minutes or I swear to god muh immersion.

Because Blizz wants people to pay for aesthetic changes, race changes, etc. on the potential that they get bored of the race they’re playing and want to play a different one.
It’s all about potential profits.
Yeh I was pointing out how it made no sense why it has such a shorter usage than CD. At the very least put it at an hour duration with no CD and treat it like a mage or priest buff.
My favourite toy is the Death’s Door Charm, but I get 30 minutes on 30 minutes off and when I am using my priest it would be nice to heal with this on all the time, you know, immersion and all that.
There is no money I can even pay to make myself look like that.

What’s the point if it stays active until you remove it by clicking the toy icon on ur screen lol
Because most players have military grade ADHD and will spam their toys without end.
Basically, cooldowns on toys is for the general mental well being of the playerbase.

I have a few buffs that always stay active on me, like the mana one from Legion, the one from the Trial of Style shirt, some people use toys for a certain look, some for RP purposes, sometimes you just don’t want to stop using toys, at least they can give us no CD on these things and increase the duration somewhat.
