As an example, in phase 4 Thunderclap hits 10 targets now and Booming Voice has been changed to be free shouts as well as 5 minutes. This is not reflected in the tooltip.
I have cleared game cache. If I hadn’t read the phase 4 PTR notes I would have absolutely no idea these changes were in the game.
they have to write them in manually. the text is not autogenerated.

I figured that, my question is why have they not changed the tooltips to reflect updates brought in SoD?
They also have to manually write the code that changes abilities…

they are understaffed and dont have a project manager to keep track of all these places that code shows up on the front end. They only get to work a few hours each week on SoD and have other responsibilities.

The devs prioritising “making it work” over the cosmetic stuff is actually a win,
As long as it gets fixed at some point for the poeple that dont check the updates.
Aggrend explained a couple phases ago on twitter that tool tips don’t change quickly because they have to go through a localization / translation process for every language that’s supported by the client. So it’s easy enough for us to write out the tool tip in English, but when you add in all the different languages that have to be translated for, it adds additional time.
I don’t think that translation should be that difficult for a company the size of Blizzard. Thank you for the explanation though
it’s not difficult, just not deemed a priority. They are a company the size of Blizzard, afterall. Imagine how many priorities they have to balance.
