Why do the DRACTHYR look like that?

Serious question. We’ve had years upon years of WoW dragons with amazing source material to go on, and we get weird stick lizards with wings?

They just don’t look… cool. I guess. They look more like argonians from TES than dragons, which sucks.

Because now we have these shorts hyping us up to play a dragon, woo yeah a dragon cool… except we don’t play a dragon we play some unholy abomination malnourished lizard.

I mean if out of ALL THE OPTIONS for new races, you went with one that has like 2 transmog pieces, then at LEAST make it look cool, or if not then give us naga or tuskarr, or ethereals or one of the other trillion things everyone’s been waiting for…

Did you expect to play a full on, four-legged dragon the size of a bus?

How would they gear it?
How would you fit indoors?
How would it work with raiding/dungons/PVP?

They look fine aesthetically. Not everything needs to be hyped on steroids.

The only issue is them not being able to wear gear in their actual form.

a little late for the community to make a big fuss on their looks…

but i agree, they’re not what i imagined playable dragons to look like :grimacing:

I dont mean this in a disparaging way at all, but i get the impression that they were designed by a scalie (is that the term for a reptilian furry?)

They look a lot like they would be someone deviantart persona.

I mean… these are supposed to be a Nefarian science project, right? That dude was all about making beeg chungus dragon humanoids hyped on drakeroids.

Ok Taliesen, calm down.

They remind me of like a cousin of Maloriak. Who was also experimented on by Nefarian. I think these are meant to be some dragon hybrid experiment by Deathwing. So that sort of thing seems to run in the family.

The FPS drops would be epic.

Like… I have a beast of a gaming computer… and having a raid with, say, half of it dragons… idk how well even my system would handle that, with full effects up lol.

Jaja Binks is their real dad.

You have the correct impression considering you can literally see the twitter handle of the lead artist on Dracthyr is a self-described furry.

Blizzard nowadays is nothing but an extension of deviantart. The amount of furries in this game makes me want to play FF14.

I would be into this if Dracthryr could be warriors and their bladestorm was that silly Draknoid weapon spin thing they do when they run hahaha

Not Nefarian, Neltharion created the Dracthyr.

Dragonstock '69 was the correct answer.

Aren’t Dracthyr more less science fair experiments gone awry?

A furry is exactly the type of person needed for creating a race like the dracthyr; people are better at making art when they think the art they’re making is hot. That’s why many Renaissance artists were not good at making art with women in it; it’s because a lot of them were gay

I do think whoever designed the dracthyr is a furry, and I think she worked on the new worgen models too and that’s why they turned out so great

Fuss has been happening since the inception of their concepts being shown off. Largely they went ignored of course, but it’s been there since the beginning.

Gotta say furrypotter, your opinion might be a little biased there…

same way they are right now. barely.

now that’s a tough one. because the dragon hater in me wants to kill them, but at the same time, theyre healing me… so…
